Took the jogs out to sit here. Was excited to try Sunshine Coffee Roasters, and the experience was pleasant, except the coffee tasted mostly of milk, and the muffin was mid. Overall decent. I see potential.

I had an iced latte with vanilla syrup. It was delicious! I do wish they had more syrup flavors to choose from. Very cute place!

Charming place with excellent coffee beans (Uganda light roast + delightful). Was let down by scorched oat milk in my latte, but we’ll definitely go back.

Great little neighborhood coffee shop! Had a large drip with cream and a large latte – the flavor of the coffee was so good, we didn’t add any sweetener at all. Baked goods were delicious – we had cinnamon rolls, ham & cheese croissants and a chocolate almond croissant, all great. Since we were passing through, the owner generously insisted we try one of their bagels on-the-house – an everything bagel with cream cheese & a slice of fresh tomato. He was so right, it was fantastic! Really good to see a small business doing a great job, taking pride in serving delicious products in a wonderful community If we’re passing anywhere near this area again, I would take a detour just for this place!

I stopped in Sunday to get a green tea before the train. Strike 1 was no greeting or acknowledgement that I walked in. It’s not a big place and there was only 4 people in the shop (2 were customers). So I’m waiting a while while one worker is doing something and the other is fixing coffee. Still no acknowledgement or thanking me for my patience.

Finally it’s my turn and I’m standing at the register and the young lady looks at her phone, does something at the counter, does something at the register and never once looks up at me or says anything. FINALLY she says how can I help you. Ugh…..I wanted to walk out but at this point i invested too much of my time. I order my tea and the other girl rings me up. Amazing, we went from acting like I was a ghost, to two people helping me.

I pay and now one of the cashier’s says “have a good day”, super enthusiastic, happy to see me leave I guess. She even repeated it twice.

This was just poor, apathetic customer service, which seems to be the norm these days, especially when employing the under 25 crowd. I won’t be back, especially not for a $2.50 Kirkland brand green tea.
