Friendly and attentive service. Food was average, but good. Atmosphere is not the cutest, but typical of a diner and family friendly. The prices were very affordable and it’s return of it were closer to me.

This was my first visit to Sunset Grill, and overall, it was a decent experience with a few highs and lows. We arrived right when they opened at 8:00 AM and were the first ones there, so we were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly and took our order right away, which was a great start.
I ordered the “Farm For Special,” which includes a biscuit topped with homemade corned beef hash, sausage gravy, and two eggs. The food arrived surprisingly fast—under 10 minutes—which made me a bit skeptical about just how “homemade” everything actually was. While the dish tasted good, the gravy seemed canned or possibly reheated from the day before, and the corned beef hash had that dry, jarred texture. Still enjoyable, but not quite what I expected from a homemade dish.
My companion had sausage and eggs, and the sausage patties were the thin, perfectly round type you’d find in the freezer section at Food City or Costco—nothing fresh or unique.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and welcoming, though there was an odd smell in the air that was hard to ignore.
All in all, the food was tasty, the service was friendly, and it was worth trying. I might give Sunset Grill another shot for lunch or dinner to see if they shine more later in the day.

Great service and a good selection of items on the menu. Omelettes are very tasty. Biscuits were a bit too soft. They need a bit of a crunchy crust I think. Hash browns were soggy on the inside despite a nice golden color on the outside. Coffee comes with refills which is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They provide a fast service. You are handed the menu and allowed to sit anywhere you like, which is also great. Windows are too high so you cannot see the outside. There isn’t much to look at inside and the place feels a bit dark. Additional lighting and decorations would make a huge difference for the customers. Great place to have a quick bite though. I would not choose this place for a special dinner though. It is good for casual outings that won’t put a dent in your wallet.

The restaurant is spacious and has a full bar. The windows are tall, and while the seating near them is bright, the overall atmosphere is quite dim. We had the Denver omelet and the bacon cheeseburger. The Denver omelet was generous in portion and soft, with the hash browns on the side being crispy and very tasty. The burger was standard but still good. Both the black coffee and the coffee with milk and sugar were delicious. The iced coffee was a bit weak, but the free refills were a nice touch.
Since the house wine is only $5, we decided to come back the next day to try it. This time, we had the strawberry waffles and the Angus beef ground sirloin steak. The waffles were small but thick and fluffy. Unfortunately, the strawberries were not fresh; they were defrosted, and one was still frozen. However, the dish was overall quite good. As for the steak, we expected a handmade, tender hamburger-style patty, but it turned out to be more like a hard, thin burger patty.
Given that the house wine at Oswego Grill’s happy hour was terrible, our expectations were low. However, both the red and white wines were very good, especially considering the $5 price. My husband liked the place a lot and said he’d love to come back.

Stopped by for brunch with my wife. We split the big boy special. It’s biscuits and gravy with corned beef hash covered in country gravy and two eggs. The biscuits were griddle cakes-aka-pancakes, the hash was real corned beef with under cooked hash browns; I was pleasantly surprised by the real corned beef. The premade boxed gravy was the real disappointment here. Nasty, flavorless, and unpleasant texture. Our server however was friendly and came by several times to check on us. I was pleased with the service. The atmosphere is odd, you can tell it used to be a Chinese restaurant; With seasonal touches throughout, with different seasons mixed together. I’m assuming they were just left up. And I’m pretty sure the manager was dining in the dining area with the customers; which I find unprofessional. Also the dining area was very dark. Probably won’t go out of my way to eat here again.

Lots of tasty food for very little money at this clean diner with friendly service and classic interior. The biscuits and gravy are very good, and the Spanish omelette was satisfying. Unfortunately on day we visited, the biscuits were a bit tough, and they seemed understaffed. However, the hash browns were excellent, and they serve classic “drink all day” diner coffee.

Their food is really good for the price. Great brunch place with friendly staff, good pricing and a cute atmosphere. We are so happy to have found someplace locally owned that serves a good brunch

Food is over all okay hash browns have no flavor and taste like they came out of a box. The service was not great. We came in the morning and only 4 tables were sat prior to us getting there . Waitress can’t really speak any English, on top of wandering around and speaking their language. We got the chicken fried steak and 2 omelets with coffee. We had to repeatedly ask for creamer multiple times before it was grabbed. Food was okay probably won’t eat here again. I definitely won’t be back if the service was to continue in the manner that it was addressed in. Came here with high expectations with the reviews that were given and I was sadly let down.

Breakfast served all day!
I was about to spend $10 to $15 on a drive-thru sandwich for lunch. I pulled into here instead. Plenty of good choices at that price point.

This was my first time visiting sunset grill on a quiet Saturday morning. The staff was very friendly and I decided to go with a chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns. I was very pleased by the service, the quality of food and peacefulness of the restaurant. It’s very quaint and appears to have a strong local following of regulars based on some of the conversations I overheard with staff and their patrons.
