First time visitors as I don’t get back home to the Sussex Hartland Pewaukee area much anymore but we were staying in the area and decided to try the Sunset Grill. Snow was predicted that day but figured the lake view would be pretty with the snow. Nope. Couldn’t see a thing. Completely white. Lol. Thankfully, that was the only thing “bad” about our visit. Husband and I started with the pulled pork topped nachos. They were awesome and easily a mean in itself! You get a massive pile of chips and toppings!. I opted for the blackened salmon. Hubby had a burger and we were stuffed!! Our waitress was attentive and fun, the restaurant was busy but not overly loud, and while Mother Nature raged outside, the restaurant was comfortable. Not overly warm and no cold drafts. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to come again when we can enjoy watching the sun set over the lske.

Ordered the Sunset club sandwich with housemade chips. The bread on the sandwich was so delicious, it was a great choice. Chips were decent, although I always like them on the lighter side. Soda was three dollars, and fun nonalcoholic drinks were five dollars. That was a little overpriced. But the food was reasonably priced. We sat outside on the patio and it was a beautiful Wisconsin summer evening, just above 70° and a beautiful sunset. Nice waitresses.

Beautiful lakeside view perfect for a Spring lunch. Loved the fish dishes, cod was better than the perch. Nice and friendly service but wish there were more servers to help out. Highly recommend checking this place out and we definitely will come back next time we are in town.

Wow! It was a beautiful evening dining outside with 5 other friends on the lower patio. The umbrellas helped with the bright sun and the tables filled up quickly.
All 6 of us loved our meals: Margaritas, Mojitos, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Pulled Pork, Tator Tots, Crab Cakes, Chicken Salad, Patty Melt, and the most incredible $15 Steak Special! There was not a misstep with the food.
But let me tell you the steak special was unexpectedly wonderful, and we still can’t believe it was only $15 for the delicious steak, potatoes and veggies!
Although we have lived in the area for a few years we had never been here and now we find ourselves looking forward to coming back. The place opens for lunch and I think we will try that next time.
For all 6 of us the bill was $155 before the tip, which is very reasonable, especially since we had drinks also.
I find nothing to complain about. I do wish our server had been less busy, but she did just fine for us and we left feeling we had just had a great meal in a great atmosphere.

We sat on the patio overlooking the lake… We had a Caribbean chicken wrap sandwich with homemade potato chips… And a couple of specialty drinks… Everything was delicious The view was great and we’re definitely coming back….

This is a great place to grab drinks and enjoy the Wisconsin summer weather! The lake view was gorgeous!
We sat on the back patio for some live music. The drinks were priced well.
We ate dinner and loved the food. The nachos were a monstrous portion and loaded with toppings! The brisket was a great choice! The cheese curds were above average.
The Mac and cheese really stood out! The salad was kind of mediocre, but perfectly fine.

First timers here. We came here after my graduation ceremony. Servers were pretty attentive and professional. The food was great and cooked the right way. Definitely loved the scenery around this restaurant. Totally coming back again.
