Beautiful spot on the lake! Decent pub fair. Good beer selection. Gorgeous views of Lake Coronado.

Had a Blue Moon, went down nicely with some fish and chips.
As an appetizer, we had fried pickles. Unfortunately doesn’t seemed like it was many, felt like it was only eight in the basket.
If you sit outside, you’ll have a great view of the lake and the neighboring beach down the road.
Overall, if you’re in the Hot Springs Village, stop by, have a bite, and enjoy the view.

The services were good. The view and the patio had great view of the lake. But the food was not very good at all. The side salad had just mix lettuce only. The Alfredo pasta was dry and no flavor. My wife had shrimp and grits give it a 1 on a scale 1 to 10. Great location just need to work on the food!! Also, the presentation of the food was very poorly done

The service and location were excellent, but the food fell short. I had the fried catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans seemed like they were straight from a can, and the catfish tasted pre-breaded and air-fried. I’ve included photos of the other meals, and the overall consensus was that the food was mediocre.

How this place rates so good is beyond us. Well, the view is nice. They wouldn’t let us sit outside so we chose a window booth. The waitress was slow, preferring to hang out at the server station. Took forever to get our food. The burger we ordered sat under the heat lights so long and the bottom bun was wet with sweat and the top was hard from the heat lights. Fries were cold and hard. French dip was supposed to come with fries, but they didn’t bring them, said they were cooking. When the fries finally came, they were hot, but didn’t taste good. I sent my burger back with the waitress and asked for our tab. The manager brought our check, but didn’t say a thing. The burger was deducted from the total. We paid cash and left. We will never go back. Priced were okay but quality of food and service was pretty bad.

The best part of this visit was feeding the turtles, which they give guests some dog food to give to the carp and turtles of the deck. A couple of us ordered country fried steak and it was a deep fried hamburger patty, which was more than disappointing. Literally a breaded patty in a perfect circle with breading and gravy, and lacked flavor as well. The shrimp and grits had a couple shrimp and was so watery that the grits had to be scooped out similar to spooning out the last few bites of cereal from milk. The staff were friendly and the place was clean so that’s a plus.

First time eating there. The food was amazing! They cared about my Aunt’s food allergies. We really enjoyed our dining experience

What an absolute gem! Sunset Grill on Lake Balboa is everything you want in a lakeside spot — laid-back, beautiful, and bursting with flavor. The view alone is worth the trip, but the food seals the deal. Every dish comes out hot, fresh, and seasoned perfectly (the Cajun-style specials are next-level delicious).
The atmosphere is unbeatable — you can sit by the water, watch the boats go by, and soak in one of the prettiest sunsets around. The staff are friendly, fast, and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. You can tell they love what they do.
Whether you’re stopping by for brunch, drinks with friends, or a casual dinner date, Sunset Grill hits the sweet spot every time. Great food, great people, and the best lakeside vibe in town — it’s become my new go-to spot on Lake Balboa!

Our server was phenomenal, the food was subpar at best…the ranch was good, my bowl of lettuce was great. The okra was raw though…so sad. The broccoli cheese soup was watered down and bland.
