Sunset Grill has the best atmosphere of any restaurant I’ve visited, and it feels so perfect to sit alongside the lake and listen to music and enjoy the summer that I could hang out there all day. My family and I love dining here as the food is also really good! I enjoy the Chipotle burger with chips (kettle cooked from the Lake Erie Potato Chip Company and SO good), and I always get a side of fries because they have the crispy outside coating and are the best. My husband has always gotten the chicken bacon ranch flatbread pizza and thinks it’s one of the best he’s ever had. My brother (the one who originally introduced us to Sunset) likes to switch things up, but this time got the steak tacos with Cajun ranch fries and spent the meal telling us in different ways how Sunset is his absolute favorite restaurant. They tend to hire college students as staff, and they are perfect for the job, always friendly and helpful, and in our many visits to Sunset, we’ve never had any issues with the staff or the food. On certain days, they feature live music, and the music is loud enough that you can enjoy it, but quiet enough that you can still maintain conversations at a normal volume with your table, so truly the perfect balance when I’ve experienced other restaurants that have the music far too loud. When we have an excuse to be in the Edinboro area, we try to make a trip to Sunset possible because it’s consistently so good and just one of the best environments to hang out in and enjoy a good meal.

The food was good, the service was great and the atmosphere was excellent! Right on the water, with seating right next to it. An outdoor experience for sure! They also have bands playing in the evening. We went for lunch but would definitely love to go at sunset when a band is playing.

1st time here, my wife and I loved it! Always drove past, saying to ourselves we’ll have to stop sometime and today was that sometime. The view of the lake was very relaxing! We had great service, the food was very good, prices were acceptable. We will visit again!!

The views were great! We both had dinner salads which were good although admittedly not the best I’ve ever had. The service was attentive. They had a band playing. They weren’t too loud which was nice because we could still talk. The bathroom is not connected to the building which is probably a big deal when it’s raining. The ladies room was clean but out of soap so they need to pay more attention to the bathrooms.

My sister and I were looking a place south of Erie to meet for lunch. I found the restaurant on Google as I’m from out of town. When we arrived we were told there was a 35 min wait for a table but we there were several bar spots open for immediate seating, so we grabbed seats right over the water. You may want to call ahead on busy sunny days to see if they take reservations. The the food and service were fantastic.

Great location right on Edinboro Lake. The venue itself if really nice with a sleek, modern, clean vibe. Service was good with seating available in various locations from indoors (door were up), to the patio (dockside) and booths just setback from the water (across the artificial grass floor, fire pits, Adirondack chairs & stage).
The menu has a fair amount of offerings. I went with the handheld chicken parm sandwich on a toasted Hawaiian roll with the kettle chips. The chips came in a single serve bag which was ok. I thought they might be homemade but was wrong. In my opinion still better than the fries that are the coated variety (vs. fresh cut), the latter which I prefer.
Drinks we tasty and they do have some specialty cocktails. The restrooms are outside of the main entrance with a separate private entrance.
There is also seating available (when open) in the elevated “Tower Lounge” There is QR code ordering there. It has a main staircase to the 2nd level as well as winding staircases up to a third level for an even better view.
Sunset Grill is a gem in the area, especially if you want some good food with a great view and friendly efficient service.

You will love the sunset grill. I got the onion rings and fruit salad. The fruit salad was delicious and I really liked the ginger dressing. The live music was a nice touch. It wasn’t too loud and added to the experience. I was very pleased with the service here. The staff was extra friendly and very accommodating. The service was fast and accurate. The atmosphere was very welcoming and enjoyable. You would definitely like it here. I can’t recommend this location highly enough. I would definitely come back here for the great service and atmosphere. You certainly will not be disappointed with this wonderful establishment. Definitely stop by if you are in the neighborhood. I definitely will.

Food was all excellent!! Staff was friendly and super helpful. My food had a tiny bit of dairy (which I’m allergic to) and they had no problem taking it back and making me a new sandwich entirely. The Cajun fries were AMAZING. And the hummus and veggie platter was fresh and delicious as well. My boyfriend even ate some and he hates vegetables! The view was gorgeous and the building itself was lovely also. Highly recommend for any time of the day. The atmosphere was great and our food was delicious. Will definitely be going back!

Driving by this establishment and then pulling in on a whim made the experience that more interesting and enjoyable. Right off the bat, the ambiance stood out the most, a large open space and court yard, a nice little performing stage, nestled right on Edinboro Lake, made for a very delightful evening. Seated by a friendly hostess, we waited a bit for service. After reviewing the menu with limited choices of a simple bar food selection, we ended up choosing a mushroom hamburger and chicken salad that wasn’t very impressive and a little pricey. I think there is more to be amused by at the Sunset Grill with a viewing deck and boat slips. I would encourage a visit.
