The food was amazing and the views were nice. Definitely agree, don’t let the old motel keep you from trying this! I ordered the pork steak meal with broccoli/asparagus medley. We also ordered a couple of starters—Crispy Cauliflower and Crab Cakes with Apple slaw. One of our adult sons ordered the Sunset Burger and my husband and youngest son each ordered the Curry Tikki Chicken with naan bread. The bread was a crowd favorite at our table! There were lots of original dishes that make it a great unique experience. And the food presentation reminded us of 5-star restaurants that we’ve been too. Overall a great place to put on your list of stops when traveling this way.

Fantastic food and service. Don’t be scared off by the location in the Days Inn. This is a serious restaurant with serious food and service. Wonderful choices that include several types of food, including American, Indian, and others. We had two Indian dishes and the street tacos. The portions are large, and the food is delicious. Everything we had was fabulous. We will definitely eat here again when we’re in Trinidad

We shared the crab cakes & had the butter chicken, ground beef tacos & espresso martinis. Everything was excellent! Very good quality for the price point!

We decided to make a stop for lunch while traveling from New Mexico to Denver. I looked up some restaurants in the area and came across Sunset Bar & Grille. Just from a few photos, the food looked absolutely delicious. With my eyes glued to the menu, I didn’t even notice it was located inside a Days Inn.
We plugged it into the GPS and headed that way. As we pulled up and saw the Days Inn sign, we were skeptical. Before taking off and trying to find a different place. We checked out the reviews. Several reviews said not to be scared off by the location—so we trusted the feedback and gave it a shot.
I’m so glad we didn’t turn around and leave!
I ordered the Santa Fe Trail Chicken Burger with sweet potato fries, and my husband went all in with the filet mignon—also with sweet potatoes. The food was excellent! Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and the portions were generous. The service was also wonderful—friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. We felt genuinely welcomed.
If you’re in the area and need a great meal, don’t let the hotel setting fool you—this place is a hidden gem!

Very interesting fusion dishes– Southwest/India. I had the tandoori tacos with naan instead of tortillas They were delicious! And a substantial portion…I couldn’t finish the 3rd one.

Saw the reviews and thought we should give them a try. Very unassuming place when you pull in but don’t let that fool you! Great food and very reasonable prices. Even had a saxophone player!! Ribeye was very good and the sesame chicken was unique and delicious.

I ordered the Stir-fry steak with rice while visiting the Sunset Bar & Grill located inside the Days Inn in Trinidad, CO. Decent customer service. The food was ok as well. I would rate it as mediocre. It was more of a convenience eating here due to it being connected to the hotel.

Great food! Worth the visit. The service was a little slow. The restaurant was okay at best. The views were great, and like I said, so was the food.

The portions are huge! Definitely got our moneys worth! We ended up taking it home in a to-go bag because we were so full. The crab was AMAZING! We had friendly service. We shall definitely be returning!
