Saturday – Crowded, but we had reservations. They have a back room enclosed which is quiet. For crowded times, this is a good option. Side salads are only $8 and tasty.
Parking lot is dark and not lighted….have your phone light on.
I like that they box up your leftovers for you.
Very friendly server and manager….it makes the experience even better.

July 16 2025 – another visit and again, great food and great service from Kerri. Even though we didn’t order an appetizer she brought out some cheese and crackers. Most people cleaned their plates or took some home for later. Kerri boxed it up for us.
I appreciate the owner walking around checking on things and he even noticed we were out of butter which he fixed.
I like to park in the parking lot off of Lindbergh. It’s easy then to walk in and drive out.
Note – you may want to make a reservation….we got there at 5 pm and got a seat, but later on the restaurant filled up.
Even when it filled up, it was easy to talk and hear each other.

First Visit
My wife had the Pilot House Chicken and I had the Pistachio Chicken. Both were delicious, but I particularly liked the Pistachio Chicken with the grilled mushrooms and sauce. Angeline, our server, was particularly delightful and you should try and get her if possible. They do extras which other places don’t do. They serve you home made crackers and cheese spread, rolls, cookies at the end of the meal and a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. I also liked that it was quiet and easy to have a conversation. I also like the parking lot so it makes it easy to get into and you don’t need to park on the street.
The food was all exceptional. Two of us had the special, which was a 12 oz steak. I’d asked for medium rare and my friend medium, and both were cooked to perfection. And the appetizers were also excellent: toasted ravioli and empanadas. We were all very happy with our experience at Sunset 44 Bistro and will definitely be back soon.
Then we shared the donut special with strawberries. So delicious I almost licked the plate
I ordered the Braised Short Rib Ravioli. Wife ordered the special, which was Scallops . Both were excellent. Service was great. Parking was a little tough because the lot is so small, but we found a spot.
Will go again.
