Reviews
I went back today for Daylight Donuts. The restaurant owners had the local Daylight franchise for many years, and cooked the best donuts in town. I used to take my children by the previous donut location for a special treat when theywere young. This week they added the donut franchise to the restaurant, so I visited with my (now) adult children. The donuts were just as delicious as we remembered. We will definitely be back.
Easy parking.
Absolutely the best owners and great staff. Terrific food. Best Cambodian in the state.
Will keep coming back, even after the upcoming name change.
Stopped in for lunch this week. The new Sun’s Special (not yet on the menu) is excellent! It included Sesame Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and Steamed Rice. Delicious.
THE BEST pad thai I’ve ever had in my life. I fell in love with this place on my 2nd visit. You’ve GOT to try this place
I visited on a Sunday at approximately 11:30 am. I entered into a very clean, open concept type building with plenty of seating and a warm inviting atmosphere. I loved the soft 80’s music that was playing in the background too.
A man greeted me quickly and offered a menu and also mentioned their buffet, inviting me to visit the buffet selections prior to making my decision.
After viewing the food selection at the buffet & adjoining salad bar, I did elect to do that for my meal.
The salad and vegetables were put together well and appeared fresh and colorful. The buffet was simple with choices such as baked and fried chicken, pork chops in gravy, BBQ ribs, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, yams, collard greens & corn bread or rolls. I tried a little bit of every thing and it was all delicious, perfectly cooked in my opinion.
The gentleman who served me was the nicest guy. He embodies the entire idea of customer service. He’s got it down and gets an A+ on that for sure. This gentleman is EXACTLY the type of community member and customer service representative you I want to support. I believe anyone should feel the same after visiting this restaraunt.
Before I left, he mentioned that I need to return to try the “dragon noodle” and that he offers “THE BEST pad Thai, ever. THE BEST.”
I assured him I will be back to try the menu for dinner service. And I will. I’m very much looking forward to it.
Awesome guy, delicious food.. remarkable kindness and service. Two thumbs up
Think “cozy buffet” — enough choices to make you happy, without so many that you need a flowchart to navigate your plate.
The homemade meatloaf? A clear front-runner. Comfort food done right.
The chicken wings? Perfectly cooked, with a tangy-but-sweet sauce that hits every corner of your taste buds.
You’ll also find assorted southern-style greens and veggies that feel like a Sunday supper spread,
plus chicken fingers and fries for the kids (or, let’s be honest, the grown-ups who “accidentally” grab some).
The salad bar is no afterthought, either — the veggies are so fresh they could double as a farmer’s market display.
And don’t breeze past the dessert bar; there are some hidden gems waiting there.
But the real crown jewel? The fresh, homemade doughnuts.
Forgetting them would be a life choice you’ll regret — like ignoring your GPS and ending up in another state.
And if buffets aren’t your scene,
Sun’s has a full Asian menu too — from beef & broccoli to pad Thai and practically everything in between.
Basically, you can’t go wrong here… unless you skip the doughnuts.
Don’t. Forget. The. Doughnuts.
