Joined my sister for her friends bday brunch and we had a great time. Unfortunately the service was lacking. We were a party of about ~20 people and had 1!! Server who we later found out was also making all the drinks. Needless to say our drink orders didn’t come out till well over 1.5 hrs after placing them, right around when our food came out. My son and I only ordered soda and those came out after we were done with our meal. The server was a hoot and looked like she was enjoying herself. She was beyond nice and tried her best to get all of us taken care of. But they just didn’t plan properly for a party of this size. Never should someone be made to serve and make drinks for this many people.
The food service was off the chain, some FINE, patient and sweet men brought out all our food. Comparing it to the time it took to get drinks, the food came out relatively fast. And it did not disappoint! EVERYTHING was delicious food alone will have me back regardless of the service.
We had the Soul egg rolls, Collard greens dip, French toast flight and the Shrimp and grits
The DJ kept the party jumpin.
I plan on returning with my husband. I’m sure with a much smaller party we will have a great experience. TBD

So my wife (Ivy) wanted to try this location for dinner one evening. We along with our daughter, went for dinner. Started off a little questionable but became a very good experience. Staff was a little out of sync with customers and menu’s but they got it right quickly.

Netta our bartender was awesome!!! She was making new drinks and she let us be her taste testers!!! Our server Selena was extremely helpful with helping us choose our meal. She was very attentive. The food was so good!! I had catfish (fried & blackened) collard greens, red beans and rice, cornbread muffins, and fried green tomatoes for my appetizer!! This is such a grown and sexy atmosphere!!! The music was fabulous!!! Just a chill place with a really cool vibe!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Winter, our waitress was great. She was friendly and attentive. The food was flavorful. I had the leaf cake waffle and an order of lamb chops. The lamb chops were moist and tender. The waffle was pretty and tasted really good. I had the sunrise mocktail and a 50 mg shot. That was amazing. I also indulged in a treat from the edible shop, the rice krispie treat and the pineapple lemonade. I will definitely be coming back for dinner.

My friend and I went to check them out during happy hour on a Wednesday and it was great! The staff was very inviting and friendly. I don’t drink much, but the drinks were amazing (we got a pitcher of strawberry margaritas)! The food was good and well seasoned. It was overall a really good experience and we’ll definitely be back!

Netta was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. Our drinks were always full, and she checked in just the right amount without ever being overbearing. Her positive attitude and warm personality really stood out — it’s clear she loves what she does. The food was great, but Netta truly made the experience five-star. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for her again!

1 Star Food.. 5 Star Service (Waitress was perfect). 4 Star( Patio energy) & DJ. To many bugs. However, I am a pescatarian, I only eat fish. When I ordered catfish, I expect to receive Catfish, not farm raised fish (Tilapia). I know several restaurants try to pass Tilapia for Catfish, because it benefits the company financially, however that is fraud. I also ordered the Fired green tomatoes, which was very disappointing also. I have never had Fried green tomatoes slice that paper-thin. 4 per order, those 4 slices should have been one slice. I understand when it comes to making a profit, however, sometime cutting costs on certain things, can be bad for business. This company needs to be fair to their customers. I will say the broccoli was perfect, it tasted like home. And the Habachi rice was great also. I used to visit this restaurant at least twice a month, especially for karaoke when it was called Tilly’s. I really wanted to like and support this fairly new establishment, especially brcause I believe it’s black own. I hope my sources is correct. I really wanted to make Sunrise my new-old spot against, but unfortunately I will head over to Dixie kitchen when I want to dine out for Fish. However, I’ll come back and relax on the patio, good music and have a drink.

Not good at all but we hope they are able to get back to quality. I am unsure what changed from the old location but we just threw nearly $100 of food into the trash because it tasted unsafe to consume. We ordered from another restaurant after an hour of travel for what was once delicious food.
All of the food had an aftertaste, smelled of old grease and dirt, the restaurant also smells. We are super disappointed as long time customers. FYI: We didn’t order anything with their cbd/thc product.
Also, they charge you for a catfish fillet but only give you half of a fillet/long catfish nugget. See the photo. This seems like false advertising and it would be better to charge $14/fillet.
Unfortunately, we also could not reach the restaurant via phone at this time but hope they see this and adjust. We won’t be back but other customers may benefit.
