We heard so much about this place on the news. It was compared to a cross between Waffle House and Raisin Cane’s. I visited with the expectations that Cane’s had everyone beat. I am here to tell you, I was absolutely wrong!! Sunrise’s chicken is crispy on the outside with so many spices and the inside is juicy and tender. The grits are incredible too! We were greeted by everyone who works there and were given recommendations. Jim, the manager, and Griffin, one of the waiters, are absolutely amazing and made our day! You have GOT to try this place. You won’t regret it!

Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. Placed an online order for pick up. Everything was fresh and ready on time. We got the biscuit breakfast sandwiches and a side of french toast. The portions are HUGE, the food was 10/10 and their prices are very reasonable for what you get. Very satisfied and will definitely be ordering again.

I’ll begin by saying this place is a definite give it a try for yourself! With that in mind my takeaways:
Pros:
1) the cleanliness and design of the restaurant is nice and uniform, tables have a nice design on the top and all tables were set up ready for diners
2) the staff was friendly
3) FRESH HOT COFFEE
4) the food was fresh and hot and didn’t take too long
5) the seasoning on the fries was EVERYTHING!!!
Cons:
1) I feel as though service was lacking a bit, our server was very friendly but there was no wow factor, no above and beyond. And after food was delivered we didn’t get checked back on within the industry standard of 2 bites/2 minutes. Also, I ordered the breakfast sandwich and I also ordered a side of potatoes not knowing that the sandwich came with fries(wasn’t on the menu) nor did the server inform me of that, had I known I would’ve opted for a different side instead of 2 types of potatoes (with all that said it was NOT bad service, just not great)
2) there’s no background music or TV (there is a jukebox, pay-to-play of course which is cool, but some background music steady playing while no one is actively playing on the jukebox for diners would be nice)
3) the star of the show in my opinion and truthfully what I was most looking forward to, the SGG was somewhat disappointing, the grits were a little too watery, and for $27 the small amount of seafood on top wasn’t satisfying, however the flavor was GREAT!
4) breakfast potatoes tasted very bland as if there wasn’t any seasoning used whatsoever.
So please do with this review as you will, to the owner(s) and management: continue building your team and restaurant you have a great concept going and what seems like a great foundation to continue to build on and I look forward to returning again!

People of Cumberland County……you have to RUN to this spot!!! Best chicken in our neck of the woods!!! Don’t bother driving 45 minutes to raisin Cain!! Every thing is made to order. Fresh “burn your mouth” banging chicken!! The batter and seasoning to die for!! Jim the manager and his staff are super friendly. Great chill spot to stop in and eat. 10 out of 10! Oh and the grits!!!!

Came to try out this new spot in Vineland and pretty much left all the food. Food was okay at best. The breakfast combo that we ordered with turkey sausage tasted almost expired, smelled and tasted off, almost as if they mixed liver or something in it. Meat was burnt. Considering this is a new spot I would expect service to be better, or at least have an experienced waitress or manager handling customer service. Will not be returning.

I was skeptical about their menu, because I really wasn’t tantalized by the photos of the items that they make because it’s mostly a food style that I was never happy with, however, I gave it a try. I had french fries, chicken tenders and biscuits. Well let me tell you, I was so happy with the flavors of the fries, chicken tenders and how amazing those homemade biscuits were! The chicken tenders, had a beautiful delicious seasoning to them, french fries had a wonderful seasoning also but it was not the same. As for the chicken, totally its own personality and the biscuits, I really never liked biscuits being from the can, McDonald’s or KFC. But these delicious buttery flaky dense biscuits were out of this world! When I was finally going to try them because after all I did have them in my platter, I reheated it one day after and wow and then I had one left and the next day I reheated it, and wow everything was still the same so I could imagine how they taste when they’re super fresh coming from the restaurant. Thank you for suggesting location. I’m very happy and I look forward to having other items on the menu that they offer. The customer service is out of this world! Fantastic!!

I had a really positive experience here on Monday early afternoon and wanted to share it. The food quality is excellent. Everything tasted fresh, well-made, and full of flavor, and it’s clear they take pride in what they serve.
The staff and service were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and made the visit even better.
The atmosphere is simple and straightforward. It’s not cozy, but it’s bright, organized, and exactly what you’d want in a quick-service restaurant.
One thing that really stood out is how clean everything is. The dining area and the entire space are very well maintained, and you can tell cleanliness is a priority here.
Overall, my experience at Sunrise Social Express was great. Good food, great service, and a very clean environment. I’m glad to have this place nearby and will definitely be returning.
