Absolutely the best desserts in the North shore. Here you can get mango or pineapple soft serve with no added sugar and no dairy and it’s delicious. We also tried the root beer float shave ice which was surprisingly delicious they use high quality ingredients here.

The place name and menu is very different now than what is listed on here. It’s now called North Shore Shave Ice Kaua’i and they do not have the same shave ice menu as is listed on Google. Updating this info would be really helpful for customers – I was pretty disappointed to show up and not see what I was expecting on the menu (also made it very confusing to locate).

We got the soft serve in Pineapple flavor and we did not like it. It had a sour taste and left a tin can flavor behind as though it was canned pineapple and not fresh as advertised.
We also got a shave ice, and the flavors were very syrup-ie and didn’t have good flavor. We may have been spoiled by other local shops that don’t use pre-bottled syrups.
Overall, we threw our orders away. We could not even eat them.

Just a random place I found on google maps. Shave ice was really good! Lots of different flavors and the syrup is nice and sweet! The only downside is that the wait times are kinda long because the staffing was just one person… she had to take orders and make the shave ice. Would come back again.

On a recent trip to Kauai we ate at several shave ice stands. Sunrise was good. Not the best, but not the worst. Smoothness is very good, and their natural syrups and recipes are very good too. It lacks in value (over $10 for natural flavors and medium sized serving) and especially atmosphere. Grocery store parking lot isn’t the best ambiance. But convenient!

Their smoothies dont taste like it contains natural fruit. It just tastes like fake juice ingredients and protein powder. I would recommend other places for both smoothies and shave ice

The most amazing “Sunrise Whip” (aka Dole Whip) we have ever tried! The owner, his young son, and their employee were so kind, patient, and helpful with our big family of seven. Even when rude comments were made by a random woman who then took a picture of the employee to post without her permission- the employee reacted with professionalism and kindness and continued to work on several orders under quite a bit of stress. Very impressive. We would highly recommend this place for a delicious quick treat on your night out!

Had the pleasure of meeting Cody & trying his delicious berry açaí bowl & shaved ice! There is definitely something special about the ice- it’s delicious! A little more pricey than others I’ve had on the island but absolutely 100% worth it. Homemade strawberry syrup was fantastic. Can’t wait for you to open a place in Seattle!
