Sunrise Pizza is located along Virginia Beach Blvd. in the Aragona Village Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. I had heard about the place through an ad on Facebook and decided to try them out sometime. My visit here was on August 30, 2025.
I had gotten here around 3:45 pm, so parking wasn’t an issue. Since it is in a shopping center, parking tends to be available. They are on the corner end of the shopping center. The inside of the place is pretty simple. There is seating available, as well as the pick-up and ordering counter for to-go orders.
My mom and I decided to dine in, and we could choose where to sit. There wasn’t anyone else visiting the place at the time. Our server came over fairly quickly to get our drink orders and a menu to review. For those that drink sodas, they carry Pepsi products. After getting our drinks, she asked if we were ready to order, but we weren’t just yet since there was quite a bit to choose from. After some more time, she came back to us, and we were ready to order. I ended up getting a Pepperoni Calzone. My mom went with the Homemade Meatloaf Entree which was on special that day.
A few minutes later, she came back to bring the garden salad and garlic knots that are part of the homemade meatloaf entree. I did get to try one of the garlic knots and it was really good. After about 10 minutes or so, the main meals came to the table. The Pepperoni Calzone looked great, as well as the Homemade Meatloaf entree. They were both hot when they came out. The Pepperoni Calzone was really good. I only had half of it, as I didn’t want to overload myself on carbs. It did end up elevating my blood sugars afterwards, but not significantly higher. My mom liked the Homemade Meatloaf entree too.
As a part of the coupon I had, I was able to get a free small pizza, which I ordered to-go. It didn’t include any toppings, but I did have pepperoni added to it. I would have a few slices over a few days. That pizza was good too.
Overall, this was a good experience here. They have daily specials, as well as lunch specials if you come in during the lunch hours. They did well to ensure we had what we wanted and if there were any issues (there were none). If you are in this part of the city and looking for a pizza type of place, this place is worth checking out.

I’m not trying to be a complainer, just giving my honest opinion.
I ordered the meat loaf and chicken gyro to try out this place for the first time.
I was super disappointed in the meat loaf, it was kinda dry. They do give you two decent pieces but it had no flavoring and didn’t taste great.
Now I know this is a pizza place, and you can’t super mad that a meatloaf doesn’t taste great at a pizza place.
With that being said, the mashed potatoes, and gyro was very good. The fries would’ve been really good if they were cooked a little more. The customer service was great.
I’d try out this place again for sure though. The gyros are a 10/10

The pizza met the mark, warm, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. The delivery driver was punctual and friendly, which I appreciated. However, the girl who took my order over the phone seemed rushed and a bit short with me. She actually hung up before I could finish speaking (maybe it’s busy for a Tuesday night) which left a bad impression. Great food and delivery, but the customer service over the phone could definitely use some work.

My family ordered through Instacart / Uber Eats tonight. The salad has so much grease on it. Photos are without any dressing added. My husband did not care for his Chicken Fried steak more. The gravy fries came so soggy. You may want to do gravy on the side for delivery orders. Definitely a waste of $50
