This pancake was so big you can’t see the plate. Food was tasty. They just moved in to this space so it looks like they are still improving the area. I’ll be back for sure. Breakfast is all day too.

Quite possibly the worst run business in town. We have been to this place a few times and it was pretty bland. I wanted to support the small businesses in town but I cannot justify coming here. The service was extremely slow for basic breakfast items…even for a sit-down restaurant. I wasn’t going to bother leaving a review but the owners comments on the news really rubbed me the wrong way. You used a city tragedy to garner sympathy for a business that is already failing. You lied and gave false information then blamed the media. No thanks. Lexington deserves better.

We came in today and the food was awesome! Our server was very sweet and attentive. We definitely recommend! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Lexington ❤️. I recommend the French toast and my husband loved his omelette!

Came here a few days before Christmas and had breakfast with a friend. They ordered a breakfast sandwich and I ordered the special, which was biscuits and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns.
The food was.. not good. The gravy was sweet.. and tasted like a scented candle, which was super weird, the sausage was overcooked, the hashbrowns tasted like freezer burn or.. dishwater?? .. it was all very weird and very noticeably not good quality.
The server was friendly, but halfway through our meal her bf or husband came in with her child and the environment became much more chaotic given the fact that she was working and also taking care of a young child while trying to wait tables. We ended up leaving pretty quickly and did not complain, still left great tip, because it was clear the server had her hands full and it wasn’t her fault that the quality of food coming out was so off.
This place could be great and Lexington could really benefit from having a solid breakfast place.. but it was overall just very.. weird.

Great little place to eat. Food and service is always great. The Charlie burger was very good!! Their breakfast sandwich is pretty good with sausage. Biscuits and gravy is pretty good as well.

My boyfriend and I have been to Sunrise so many times over the last 2 years. The food is great and priced at a very reasonable rate. Staff is very friendly every time we come in. They are always busy but it is never a problem. No matter how busy they are we get our food at a reasonable time and it’s always great! We love this cafe!!

If I could give this place 20 stars I would hands down! Went out for a back road cruise in the jeep, on a mission to find an amazing diner, which led us to Lexington, MO….the Sunrise Cafe to be exact! It did not disappoint! The service and staff were beyond amazing! A real family owned diner!!! The sweet tea was…well wait, everything we had was absolutely amazing! So good!!! Secret item…..GRITS! We will be making more trips here in the future! This place is a must go!!! Also….if you’re worried about the cost….DON’T! I promise you, you will not beat these prices! Well, time to plan another adventure, so get out there and SUPPORT SMALL LOCALLY OWND DINERS….and other businesses of course!

I really try to leave good reviews but this time I could find no redeeming qualities. From the time we arrived, there were zero greetings or acknowledgement for 15 minutes after we walked in and sat down. Once we did receive service, it was very poor. Taking into consideration she was young and perhaps very inexperienced, we were still looking for some form of courtesy. When our food was served it was placed in the center of the table ( ). The check was delivered without any sort of thank you or have a nice day. All of this being said, I understand being short staffed and it gets hectic but I’m also speaking as an experienced server myself. A dining experience is 80% the way you are interacted with and 20% food. I hope that I am alone in this experience because I want to see all local small businesses thrive.
