Came across this place by chance. Reminds me of a “mom & pop” place. Everyone was so nice. The food was good. Really enjoyed my cream of Chicken Rice Soup with a BLT on Marbled Rye. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

This is a great place, you could tell the staff all know and love the customers who are the regulars and are just as pleasant with people who don’t come as often. Great food as always, breakfast any time of day can’t go wrong here!

We were an oregon for retreat at the stronghold center. Since we arrived a day early, we came into town for breakfast at this lovely diner. Everything was delicious, and the service was super-friendly.

If you are going to have the corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s day do not go here. So disappointed. Usually the main ingredient is listed first. You get 4 bacon size strips of corned beef. I payed 14.99 for vegetables, soup, and a dessert. Absolutely ridiculous.

My husband and I moved to Oregon a few months ago and this is my first time trying Sunrise 3. I liked that they have a fairly basic menu, but also have interesting specials.
I got the caramel apple waffle and hash browns. Both were fantastic! The waffle itself was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, light and fluffy. Plus, they warmed the apples before putting it on the waffle, so it wasn’t room temperature or cold topping just plopped on there. Also, hash browns are something I’m picky about. You wouldn’t think they’re hard to get right, but I often find them overcooked and flavorless. These were awesome! Needed a tiny bit of salt, but they were cooked perfectly. I will be back to try more!
Edit: we’ve been back a few times, but most recently I tried the oreo pancakes. Oh. My. Gosh. They are sooooo rich, but sooooo good! If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend these! And maybe a side of hash browns to offset all of the sugar.

I was not impressed. The waitress never came by to see if we needed anything else or anything. I had to get up and ask for ranch dressing and extra napkins. The food was mediocre. My wrap came with no ranch on it. It was dry as could be.

Excellent small-town diner. Great service from server (sat at counter bar), generous portion that I couldn’t finish. Awesome start to my century ride that day. Thanks Sunrise III!
