We really enjoyed our meal. Reasonable pricing, the staff was all very friendly and helpful. We were especially impressed with the corned beef hash. We look forward to visiting again.

Since an appearance on the Food Network show “Restaurant Impossible,” this place has really figured things out. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. You have to take advantage of those specials because they are getting so creative and making delightful dishes. We drive out of our way to go here as often as we can now, because we haven’t had a bad meal yet. The only issue we’ve had here is that things can be a bit slow if they are understaffed, but they are working on that, and the food is well worth the wait.

When I say these people are the best it’s not just for they have great food because y3s it’s delicious but they are absolutely to their core amazing ppl . When there was a Tornado in our town and everybody had no. Power They spent the entire day cooking for people for free. Our family included. Would Def recommend if you want delicious food surrounded by very very good people.

Our regular place was swamped so we decided to try it. They were out of gravy and sausage patties. Ordered omelet and sourdough. It was delicious and nice portions. Service was great. We will be back.

Nashville hot chicken pita was amazing. Hope they put this on the menu permanently! Intend to return with items like this in future.

Cod dinner to go. Friendly service by waitress. Talked with the owner since she was behind counter. Talked about Robert Irvine being there. Cod & fries good. Cole slaw too vinegary for my taste. Didn’t get our rolls. So glad they are doing well.

Many hiccups today. Greeted immediately, took drink orders with a promise to return monetarily for order; it took 10 minutes. No corned beef hash at 10:30a was disappointing. Offered substitution of toast vs biscuit in Country Carol, the order came with the biscuits and a side of toast with the upcharge. Drink refills done by owner @ meals end despite check being dropped much earlier by server. The serverr failed to mention specials. In addition, it would have been nice if credit card service fees were mentioned when picking up the check & card. Yes, it’s written on the check, but it would have been courteous. Also, the fee was rounded up $0.06 to make the check an even dollar amount without asking. $0.06 not a big deal, but if this is a normal practice, where does this money go?

Sunnyside Cafe boasts “nothin’ fancy, just good food.” I have to say, they delivered! We were driving through on our way home to Grand Rapids from Detroit, and decided to give it a try. We liked the slogan. Nothin’ fancy means it is a simple space in a strip mall. Clean and efficient. Brightly colored. The staff was friendly, greeted us quickly, and got us drinks. The food came out quickly as well. We ordered a ruben sandwich with onion rings and egg salad with fries. The food was hot and fresh. The ruben was crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside. The fries and onion rings were fried perfectly. It was all reasonably priced. Averaged about $10 each. The only negative would be that after bringing our food, our waitress never followed up with is. We never saw her again. No drink refills, etc. Another girl came and took our empty plates and brought our bill. Overall, we really enjoyed our stop at Sunnyside Cafe. If you want nothin fancy but good food, it is highly recommended!
