Great local food with wonderful customer service. My relative specifically requested chocolate cream pie from Sunnyside instead of cake for his birthday. The 2 pies needed to be pre-cut and taken to the restaurant. I asked for tips on cutting the cream pie slices without a mess. The cashier asked their pie cutter who graciously cut the pies into slices for me. Not one messy slice and the pies were delicious! Going the extra mile meant a lot to me on my hectic day. I will continue to a life-long patron of your business. Mahalo.

Small joint. Very fair prices!!! Not much parking in the lot but plenty of street parking. Service is pretty quick and it seemed most of the guests preferred to go orders. The inside could fit 8-10 small parties but there were a couple of tables outside if you wanted to dine in the fresh air. I’m 100% sure that when there’s a game going, you won’t be able to get seating but I went on a random Saturday*** looking for bfast and lunch plates so it was empty except the to-go window. You can order ahead and pickup or order at the outside window. I just loved the convenience and how quickly I received my order. The food was fresh and hot and the burger was delicious. There seemed to be no salt on my fries so if you want, make sure to request it! To go plates is a paper plate covered in foil so bear that in mind if you’re getting a to go plate and traveling far. All in all, 9/10 as far as what I expected.

Serving up quick and tasty eats, this small diner is clearly a local staple. My dad and I stopped by on the way to Dole and were not disappointed! He enjoyed his Spam breakfast and I loved the Portuguese sausage and fried rice. You definitely get more than enough food for the price, which was great, especially compared to Waikiki prices. Highly recommended if you’re on your way to the North Coast or other local attractions.

Sunnyside is a true hidden gem in Wahiawā! The cozy, homey vibe makes you feel right at ease the moment you walk in. The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned—especially the French toast and loco moco. Friendly service, great coffee, and a warm atmosphere make this little café the perfect spot to start your day.

I haven’t been here in years… and it’s still just as good as I remember it. Wasn’t busy and service was fast and friendly it did get a little more expensive than I remember but can’t complain. The breakfast special is where it’s at and for 11 bucks can’t go wrong.

It’s been awhile since I came here because of Covid. We decided to pick up food here a few days ago and we were not disappointed. My mom enjoyed her Mahi Mahi plate. She said the fish was crispy and cooked well with not too much panko and flavorful. I loved my Kalibi plate. The meat was tender and had lots of yummy sauce. Dessert, we of course had Sunnyside famous pies. The chocolate cream pie was as good as I remember it (I actually bought a whole pie but the rest of my family couldn’t wait till I took a pic so u only see my slice) and they enjoyed the apple pie as well. Service is excellent and with a smile. Lovely ladies working hard there. Bought a shirt for the husband. (his food is in the pics too but I’m sorry I can’t remember what he ordered!!! sorry!!) Highly recommend this hometown spot in Wahiawa.

I have been going to Sunnyside Café for many years even before they remodeled , Lucy the owner refused to serve me because I came in with my service dog. Now she faces a lawsuit for violation of the American with disabilities act. I do not recommend Sunnyside to anybody.

Sunnyside is a Wahiawa favorite for their pies. Good stop for local grinds. Stopped for lunch and went with staples: loco moco and hamburger steak. Tasty burger patties smothered in gravy over rice. Local style comfort food. You’ll find local workers loading up early for take away.

We decided to catch The bus and just explore. We were looking for something off the beaten path to try to support the local economy. We walked from the bus stop about a 3 min stroll. Neighborhood isn’t great but I didn’t feel unsafe. We walked in and were immediately greeted and placed our orders and sat down. Decor was nothing fancy which was perfect. Plants and pictures. My type of vibe! The food came out and smelled amazing. My husband got the Kalua pork plate and I got the loco moco. I forgot to take a picture before I started trying it. Everything was hot and delicious! She brought over some haupia which I wasn’t sure what it was but after tasting it I didn’t care. Coconut pudding jello is the best way to describe it. But that doesn’t really sound appealing but it was! Try it out and see what you think! I would go back if we visit again.
