Absolutely phenomenal dining experience!! I am new to El Paso after recently moving to the city for work so I have been actively trying to find new hot-spots for night outs, and Sunny’s is definitely ranked at the top of my list! Estella was my waitress and she made the experience 9x the better. She was extremely down to earth, charismatic, and engaging even tho I was talking her ear off LOL. She recommended me the dragon roll (I believe is the name of the dish) and even got me to try some of their sake, which was incredible! It’s been a bit of a challenge to get myself out there being in a new city, but meeting Estella and some of the other severs/staff boosted my confidence in this new chapter of my life. Could not recommend this place more!

I LOVE this place, and this location specifically. The staff is SO KIND, helpful, sweet, funny, and just generally great people. My partner and I frequent here as of late and while I love trying new things, my partner is a creature of habit. As soon as we walk in, the chefs start on a custom roll for my partner while I decide what new adventure I’ll take my taste buds on. The owner, Sung Hui, and the waitress, Vianey, (I hope I spelt those right!) always help me find something delicious. Which isn’t hard to do because I’ve never had anything less than amazing. The spring rolls and house made sauce are my new thing. Their miso soup is TOP TIER. It’s flavorful and rich, always hot and yummy. They can make any custom roll, but their menu is expansive and a great fit for anyone. The food always taste fresh and clean. I’m always satisfied and satiated with one roll, but I can’t help myself and usually end up getting something additional to go. I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone there. The ambiance, the food, the pricing, everything is fair, pleasant and wonderful. I will continue to come back and you should really go!

Super great place. Wide variety of rolls. Will take wife to celebrate Valentine’s day. Update 1-30-23 I wanted an item that they only want for lunch. They starting having that item for dinner as well. Anything and everything you order here is delicious. Update 3-15-24 This is my wife’s favorite sushi spot. I always have a great time here. The service is good. They serve a miso soup when you order. I have visited this place several times in the last few years. I have seen some prominent members of the community at this restaurant. Update 5-27-24 We came after shipping something next door. We had a great time. Everything is great here.

The food was really good but the customer service was excellent! The sushi rolls are sooooo good. I got the spider roll and bulgogi plate it was really good to not be authentic. When you was stationed in Korea and tasted the authenticity of it you definitely can tell a difference but it was not bad at all. Great experience!

Sunny’s sushi is the best!! They have an Amazing chef that makes tempura and potstickers to PERFECTION – the Hot bulgogi Bibimbap bowl was the best I’d had too!! Generous portions, plenty to take home too. Green tea -flavored ice cream hit the spot for dessert. Vianey gave excellent wait-service and was friendly and helpful. They had beautiful interior decorations too with a mystical garden flavor (cute little mushroom lights and figures sprinkled throughout the restaurant). Grade A+ eats- will be back (potstickers not pictured, and the jasmine tea comes with free miso soup too!)

The eel rice bowl was delicious, the spicy seafood soup was a bit on the salty side, and the octopus sashimi had a great texture. But the hwedupbap at Sunny’s Sushi is hands down the best item on the menu.
Our server kept forgetting what we asked for and didn’t bring things, even after 2-3 reminders. They were friendly, but I didn’t feel like giving a large tip. However, the Korean owner was kind and very pleasant.

The sushi was pretty expensive, but they’re pretty hefty. They tasted OK, but I probably wouldn’t spend that much on it again. Had a stomach ache after eating the sushi and it carried into the next day, same for my guest. The place was small and quaint and the customer service was by far the best part of the visit.
