After finally getting seated, it took another 45 minutes before anyone took our order. Another couple even left because of the long wait. It seems like the restaurant doesn’t have a good system in place or enough focus on customer service.
The location is small, but it has so much potential if they improved their organization and service. As I mentioned, if you don’t mind waiting and not really being attended to, the food is worth trying. But sadly, I won’t be coming back.
The ladies’ room was clean, and I loved that they even had dance music playing from an old Victrola, which added to the charm. We had a great chat with the owner, who shared that they make everything from scratch — nothing is frozen.
They started us off with complimentary orange juice, and at the end, surprised us with a little cheesecake dessert from their bakery. The cheesecake was delicious and tasted homemade — the perfect sweet ending.
A wonderful experience all around — we’ll definitely be back!
We found this gem after a long Mt. Baldy hike and it was exactly what we needed. The owner welcomed us in, gave us a hot sample of kimchi fried rice and chicken while we waited, and made sure everyone in the café felt at home.
The Veggie Omelette with extra egg sauce (a lighter, tangy take on hollandaise) and Sunny’s potatoes were excellent. The Avocado Egg sandwich on brioche was just as good. For dessert, we had the Mexican Hot Chocolate French toast, and the homemade orange juice was some of the best I have ever had.
Just when we thought we were done, the owner brought a small slice of cheesecake topped with whipped cream, blueberries, and a chocolate drizzle, and told us they also have a bakery.
We came in hungry and left full, happy, and impressed. Great food, friendly service, and a personal touch that makes you want to return.
Sunny’s Cafe is a true gem in Rancho Cucamonga! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming—genuinely friendly people who took the time to chat with us like old friends. It wasn’t just great service, it was a truly personal experience.
They started us off with a complimentary glass of fresh orange juice, which was such a refreshing and thoughtful touch. I ordered the veggie omelette, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. In fact, they don’t even have a freezer in the back! You can really taste the difference in everything they serve.
The cafe also acts as a showroom for their in-house bakery, where all the breads and pastries are made fresh daily. The smell alone is reason enough to stop in!
Between the cozy vibe, amazing food, and the kind of hospitality that’s hard to find these days, Sunny’s Cafe is the kind of place you instantly want to come back to. A five-star experience all the way!
We also got some sample cheese cake that was super fluffy and delicious. Great place and food overall. We will be back.
