Our Story Sunny’s Bar-B-Que welcomed its first guest in January 2004. A small, unassuming storefront that specialized in reasonably priced, quality barbeque plates for the community. I have been going to Sunny’s since they were on 74th halsted. However, my last visits has been terrible! I went on my lunch and got to work and food was burnt and was not able to eat it however, I called and spoke to Marcus. He did say whenever I come back he got me because I wasn’t able to come back after work because they would be closed. However I went tonight and the food is terrible. I asked for small turkey tip mix sauce and I barely got sauce on the food and the turkey tips are dried out taste almost like chicken tips. I will never come back again.

Food was NOT worth what i paid for. I ordered a large tip and link combo. The hot links was nasty, I took one bite and was done with it. The rib tips was drowned in sauce, to the point I didn’t even want it anymore. I threw the whole meal away. The service sucked. The person that took my order she had a nasty attitude. As far as the atmosphere there wasn’t any table or chairs for you to sit and wait for your food. I don’t even do the whole writing reviews, but I’m pissed. $23.00 down the drain. I will never go back there again!!!! They need to be ashamed for seeking this food!!!!

Let me tell you I just moved back from Texas this week. They swear they had the best barbecue no they don’t. SUNNYS has the best barbecue in the world. I loved it and I had it for lunch. It was my first meal since I came back from Texas and very satisfying came quickly and it was still hot. Yummy I’m a SUNNY’s fan forever.

Door Dasher stole my food when I ordered on a random Wednesday evening and I wasnt able to reorder my food as it was right before closing time. The nice people at Sunny’s offered to replace my order for free even though the issue was not due to an error on their part. Kind and generous people on the phone and in the SH location, amazing food! This place is legit! Thanks Sunny’s 😀 Will keep on recommending this place!

Okay, so boom, check it out! You guys were telling me that Sunny’s Barbecue in South Holland had the best barbecue and that it was better than I-57 Ribs. Now, my take: the ribs were nice and tender, and the sauce was okay, though it was a bit thin and nothing to write home about. The chicken was pretty basic, but they do give you a decent portion. My total for six wings, a small rib tip, and one hot link was about $30.
The place itself is pretty basic—just a small spot with no dining area, more like a waiting area in a strip mall. It could definitely use an upgrade or a remodel. Overall, the food was decent, but I’d give it a 7 out of 10. It’s not a place I’d highly recommend over I-57 Ribs, but it’s still okay. The food was ready in about 10 minutes, though I had to wait a bit longer since it wasn’t prepared when I arrived. Not a big crowd when I visited, so that was nice.
All in all, a 7 out of 10, but definitely not better than I-57 Ribs.

We shared the wing and tip combo $18 because it was our first time here. It was disappointing. A bit salty and no smoke flavor. Wings were kinda soggy cos they were soaked in bbq sauce. Tips were a bit chewy. Where’s the smoke flavor though . Sorry won’t be back. Too many other bbq joints around here to settle for unsmoked meat.

I ordered a bucket of tips large hot links, $54 links was dry and salty. The bucket of tips wasn’t full at all. I came from Indiana I was too far to bring them back but yall can do better than that. Ppl be driving miles for food and this bs was terrible. Wasn’t worth it all. I’m pissed

I usually go to Kirk’s Barbecue but they were closed. I googled the next closest Barbecue spot and Sunny’s came up. They let us sample the rib tips and they were delicious! I got a bucket to go and I got a new spot! Thanks for good food and good service!

I’m no rob tip savant, but usually most ribs typically taste the same to me. This was different, extremely tender and juicy – food actually put a smile on my face. Never experienced rib tips that tasted like something I actually thought was spectacular. 5 stars in my opinion

Once I received my order (I should have check my food) but I made it home (30mins. distance plus I just got off work)
my order was incorrect and the rib tips were distasteful I don’t eat fried chicken wings which they were wrongfully added onto my order and not the hot links the fried wings appeared to have been fried in old cooking oil and the mix Bbq sauce taste like hot sauce and not Bbq sauce
The ribs are a hit and miss no consistency to taste and texture the ribs are not cooked the same
this was my third visit and my second bad experience
