My son and I stopped by here today, and it’s by far the best food in the area. I’m now going to be a regular customer. The lady making the food was also very nice. Highly recommend you try this place out.

Solid find! Had the best cheeseburger today in years at this place. Chatted with the owner and the lady behind the counter. Super nice people. I didn’t really need a new addiction but it looks like I have one.

I stopped in for the first time to try out their steak and cheese. It was a late lunch for me. Got home and literally within 5 minutes my three sons devoured the food. I got about three bites and a couple of fries. These are kids that don’t really eat steak and cheese subs.

To avoid an all out mutiny, an hour later, I’m back getting three more subs and something for my husband which we will call an early dinner.

We will definitely be back.

Lady at the counter was very rude. I said hello twice with no response. I then asked again 3 times how long my sandwich would take still no response. Another customer returned with his order incorrect. I have lived locally for awhile this is my first time and will be my only time coming here

5*’s for a little market/ deli is saying something. I travel around 14 different counties during the week stopping in at different spots throughout the day for different reasons. Sometimes I tend to over look places closest to home. I have driven past Sunny Day Market for years now because the previous owners didn’t have much to offer not even gas. Normally I have to drive 10miles east or west to find lunch. The gas stations in Ferncliff doesn’t have much to offer in the way of food so its either a 10mile drive to zion or a 13 mile drive to Louisa for lunch. Today I decided all I needed was a snack so I stopped in at Sunny Day Market and boy was I glad I did. When you first walk in it looks like any other quick stop. I did notice a deli meat cooler to the right when a woman’s voice behind the counter asked if I’d like something to eat. I looked up and seen a large menu board on the wall that has just about anything you would find in an american burger joint. I ordered a bologna burger thinking its pretty hard to mess that up and I’d like to say besides my own I haven’t had one made for me like that in a very long time. I hear their cheese steak is to die for too. The lady behind the counter said they were under new ownership for the past three years and it shows. It was a simple bologna burger but it showed how much pride they have in their food by making even the simplest foods enjoyable. UPDATE: 03/07/22 I went back today to grab a couple steak & cheese to take home for dinner. I can only think of one other place within 20miles that makes them this good and that place by far has been my favorite. Sunnyday market makes them just as good and the only constructive criticism I could give is to swap the wax paper wrap for foil wrap. The paper gets soggy when the foil won’t and it also helps to hold the sandwich together. Specially when the sub roll is stuffed to the brim with greasy goodness the way Sunnyday serves them up.

Absolutely amazing! Local American ran deli with proper PPE for cooking and they’re open. We have to keep our local stores and people working! Stop in and stay healthy- yeah, make room for a real steak and cheese too
