Wifey and I stopped in at Sunny Thai on Matlock and Broad in Mansfield. Just south of 20. First off let me say they serve some of the biggest portions I’ve ever been served, ever. Second. The service is top notch. Gave us time to decide, never felt rushed. Drinks never made it below half full.
Now the reason were all here. For appetizers we got crispy vegetable rolls and chicken basil wraps. We were definitely satisfied with both of them.
Wifey got tofu drunken noodles. Which she loved and said she would order again. I stole a few bites and agreed with how good it was.
I ordered crispy beef extra hot. At first I didn’t think it was going I had ordered it hot enough but it progressively got hotter and I loved it. I’d definitely order this again for all the flavor that it packed. My only regret is I forgot to substitute for sticky rice

Sunny Thai delivered an outstanding meal from start to finish. We kicked things off with the Crispy Shrimp Rolls and the shrimp wonton soup, and both were the perfect warm, spicy winter starters, crisp, flavorful, and seriously satisfying.
For the main dishes, the crab fried rice was excellent, and adding two fried eggs on top took it to the next level and made the whole plate feel even more authentic and comforting. The pad see ew was the other standout, rich, savory, and genuinely hard to stop eating.
Sunny Thai completely won us over with the quality and flavor. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Thai food done right.

First visit tonight so I’ll be brief. Clean, well lit, but rather small dining room. Be early. Was quickly greeted and told to seat ourselves. Menu is extensive. What we had was well prepared, nicely presented and flavorful. The abundance of fresh vegetables was noteworthy. Spice levels were tourist-typical but I was told to order Thai hot “with Thai chilies” to get the full measure of heat that is so rare to find here in Texas. Will be back and hopefully update w/ details and photos.
UPDATE: 2nd visit was great! ordered same green curry #10 hot w/ Thai chilies. Good heat level. Generous portions.

I ordered takeout with my sister yesterday. She ordered a vegan dish that was good but my dish was terrible. I ordered a shrimp drunken noodle and it tasted horrible. I’m pretty sure the shrimp had gone bad. It had such a foul taste the instant I chewed on the shrimp I had to spit it out. What a waste of money. Worst shrimp dish of my life!

Great place for Thai food. The portions are a bit bigger than similar places. Please keep that up!
The interior is clean, well lit, and airy.
The service is good and there is always a staff member nearby if you need something.
The only reason I’m doing 4.5 stars is because they will usually pre-select a tip for you when they bring your check. It ranges from about 15-20%. I’ll do that anount anyway, but it’s just a bit off putting when a place brings it printed out like that.

Crispy Beef was a 10/10!! Drunken noodles also amazinggggg and they have Thai ice tea and Thai ice coffee which makes it a solid 5 stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ also, the serving size is VERY generous! We had a lot of leftovers

They charge you service charge without letting you know and we were only a table of 2. Left extra tips but the server did not let us know. Overall the food is good but we were not asked once about how the food tasted. Will not be back even though we loved the food.

Not super busy came in later after a flight. Got the steamed chicken dumplings they were SOOO good, the sauce is awesome that it comes with. My boyfriend and I also got the sesame chicken and fried rice, the chicken was okay, I liked the fried rice a lot. I got the Drunken Noodles and they did not disappoint. They were super good and tasted almost like habachi!! I also got egg drop soup, it was okay not my favorite but would highly recommend this place! We were in and out in 30 mins
