I love the man who works the drive thru, he is SO kind. Large portions, very well priced. Been eating here for years though and it used to be the best teriyaki spot in town but the quality has gone down incredibly.

The chicken is super fatty and just has the strong/off chicken flavor that cheap or extensively stored chicken has. Difficult to explain but I just couldn’t stomach the chicken this last time I grabbed food here.

I went back thinking okay, ill just get beef teriyaki… The beef was sooo full of gristle and tough fat which I don’t usually mind some but every single piece was nearly inedible I also got Filipino sausages which were good! Egg rolls were good! Cream cheese wontons were good!

Just seems like the quality of meat has gone way down. I felt I wasted money the past two times I’ve come here. 2ish years ago this place was the spot for teryaki but theres so many better options in the area now :/

Sad 🙁

Good teriyaki food, tastes good, moist, tender full of flavor, but the portion is too little. Good for a teenager , not a full grown American person.
Best is to order take out & eat at your own comfortable enjoyable environment
Atmosphere is not friendly, and not comfortable to sit inside.
The lounge is extremely cold. Owner is cheap & don’t want to spend the money to make it better ,and comfortable for customers

Best is make the least interaction with the people working here.

The whole place looks run down, and needs updating.

Restrooms are behind strong metal locked gate, and are down the stairs.
Will not advice, nor suggest to my female friends to use their restrooms without having someone on the outside waiting for them

Large parking lot

I am a frequent of this place. I love their food and the main guy is always on it, knows what I want usually and always gives me two forks for me and my boyfriend even if I’m the only one ordering cause my bf is usually with me. Food is always made fresh and yummy, good portions, they never take too long. The place is nice also, could be a little cleaner but I can say that about almost every place there is, the bathroom is a little dungeony but I like it. My favorite is the katsu chicken. My boyfriend likes the spicy general tso. I eat here at least once a month and u am never disappointed!

What’s for dinner? Sunny’s Teriyaki! So we opted for some teriyaki this evening. Since our last visit, nearly ten years ago, I will honestly say that I wasn’t inspired to eat there again after last time. But it was time to give Sunny’s Teriyaki a try again.

After looking through their menu online four times, I noticed they offered several heavenly-sounding items. Not only do they have teriyaki and combo meals, but they also provide a hearty choice of soups, sushi rolls, appetizers, lunch specials, sides, and Chinese wok meals. Yup, unless you know what you want, it will take you several glances to decide. Their menu was slightly more extensive than what I expected; still, there were choices to be had. I knew for certain that I really wanted some teriyaki, and my husband was craving egg rolls!

I ordered ahead for pickup; in fact, Sunny’s Teriyaki is relatively close to where I live.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki and a side of egg rolls. The chicken teriyaki came with white rice (we substituted for fried rice for an additional $2) and a side salad with ranch dressing; the side of eggrolls was a total of two small egg rolls.
I feel they must have made part of my order early; my Teriyaki was barely warm, but the two egg rolls were hot; nonetheless, the Teriyaki was flavorful and saucy with large chicken pieces and there was plenty of it.

Now, about the rice, what can I say? It wasn’t my favorite fried rice. The rice did have a background flavor of smokiness; I was trying really hard to figure out why that would be, perhaps how they cooked it or what they cooked it on?? It wasn’t overwhelming, but enough of the taste to linger.

Onto the eggrolls, the taste was ok, but the size or lack of size was disappointing. I think we were given spring rolls and not eggrolls; I have never eaten an eggroll so small, I did not measure, but if I had to guess, the size was probably four inches long and about a half to three-quarters of an inch in diameter. The price of $4.50 in comparison to what we had was reasonably expensive.
Because they didn’t satisfy the hunger for eggrolls, I ended up buying a couple of eggrolls today from Safeway, and they were a little over six inches long and around two inches in diameter.

Last but not least, the salad. Crispy fresh iceberg lettuce mix with ranch dressing. I am still confused on why ranch dressing seems to be the “go-to” salad dressing around here; I wish places would offer at least two dressing choices. My husband’s exact words on the salad were, “it’s a side salad with ranch dressing!”

Moving on to the building, which was in ok shape, the drive-through menu board could have used some help. However, I fully understand that many of our locally owned small businesses are teetering on closing or having a tough time staying open, let alone remodeling something right now, so that is easily forgivable!

The lady that finalized my order was smiley and friendly; it’s always nice to see someone that looks happy, especially during these Covid times!

Sunny’s Teriyaki has been around for a very long time, and it’s nice to see a small business still surviving after all of this time.
What I can say for sure is that you should try their Chicken Teriyaki!!!!

This has got to be some of the worst food locally. I needed a bite in a pinch and got the closest thing to me which was regrettably this spot. I got the small chicken bowl which came out to about 12 bucks. It was maybe one entire chicken thigh served at room temp with a ton of rice and piping hot veggies. The rice was unseasoned and the veggies were swimming in grease. I threw out the entire thing because it was inedible. Prices may be higher but you can’t just serve garbage like this.
Two stars because I was definitely not hungry after getting my meal.

I’ve never experienced such blatant disrespect and unprofessional behavior from a business owner before. The way the owner at this location speaks to people is completely unacceptable — rude, condescending, and absolutely out of line.

It’s clear they have no regard for common courtesy or basic respect toward customers or delivery drivers. No one deserves to be talked to the way I was.

If you value being treated with decency, I’d recommend avoiding this place altogether. There are plenty of other restaurants that appreciate their customers and show it.

Just stopped by for a quick snack before dinner. I got the miso soup and Spicy Tuna Roll. And it was delicious. The place was very clean and the service was awesome. Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu

New to the area wanted to try a Teriyaki spot near me, so decided to try this place, not good! I ordered a beef teriyaki bento box the beef teriyaki was a step away from leather the egg roll was a light blonde to white color it was not cooked or crispy the potstickers were not cooked right the only thing that was okay or good was the tempura in the rice! My husband had the chicken katsu it was soft on the outside and dry and stringy on the inside and whatever kind of sauce they used was not Katsu sauce! I wanted to try it cuz their prices were lower than the other places I’ve seen around but I guess it’s true you get what you pay for!

I ordered online thru Uber eats, and I ordered the bento box specialty which comes with some sushi, so i specifically ordered that one because i wanted some sushi. When it arrived there was NO sushi to be seen, how do you forget sushi??? Honestly ruined my whole mood, won’t be ordering from this place again unless im physically there to see my food before leaving. Food was fine nonetheless. But seriously, how do you miss the key ingredient to the bento box, that’s why it’s the “specialty box” and more expensive. Paid extra money for what… Uber eats already expensive.
