My favorite weekday spot. Easy to park, decent prices, good quality.
Combo’s of rolls + sashimi that give me the chance to have a little of both. Pics are Chirashi and Sunny Sushi special

Nice place to grab a quick bite during lunch, Sunny’s Sushi has some nice lunch menus, including bentos and sets. The food is really just so so, and the service can be really slow. I’ve been there with colleagues a couple of times and on a few occasions, there was one poor person who got their order way way after everyone else. However, they do have some pretty good rolls.

Three of us went in for sushi. Poor service, food was mediocre. They provided disposable plates instead of regular ones. Unacceptable for dine in. They were giving priority to takeout customers. Totally neglecting us. We left from this facility feeling we were a nuisance to them. They surcharged a 15% and didn’t ask for tips. I would pay more to get a proper restaurant experience. Would not get back and would not order. There are better restaurants around.

The new management and new menu is awesome!! Love the variety, love the fish, and love the options. I am definitely coming back. We went recently and it was clear that 2-3 employees called out for the night and left them stranded. They were swamped but they still worked hard to get the food out of the kitchen and on the tables. Bravo!

Rolls are fresh but tiny. California rolls were pretty good. Tempura could be crispier & more fresh. Rude staff. Eating and talking while trying to get my order situated during Covid. On top of all that the sauces were very basic. Again. Staff isn’t friendly outside of the guy working the register. Bless your soul dude. Wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I had been coming here for years pretty regularly. In fact it’s my wifes favorite sushi spot. (Mine is another place, but I do still really like this one though.)
It can get a bit pricybat times but we’ve never been disappointed with the quality and freshness of the food here.

Great neighborhood restaurant. They have vegan options. Veggie tempura roll and the avocado and cucumber rolls are delicious. Staff is friendly. Pricing is reasonable. Good for take out.

This is not that great, just good enough for the price. The servers changed, and don’t appear very customer friendly. Forgot to give us saucers for soy sauce, forgot hot tea, forgot to tell us that we can order 2 different portions in the bento box — granted that as a customer my friend did not read that detail, but server did not bother to mention it, and then told us that ‘we got what we ordered’, leaving us to figure out what happened.

I’ve been going to Sunny Sushi for the past year. The staff is always friendly, portions are perfect and the fish is fresh. Decor is simple, i dont need fancy. It’s my go to place for when I want sushi.

One of the better Japanese restaurants in SB. Great bento boxes – try the teriyaki beef, chicken, and tempura. It’s a little pricier than other places in town, but the quality makes it worth it. I also enjoy the salmon sashimi plates and rolls – go for the Philly, Spider, Lion King or Dragon Roll. The seafood udon is good as well as appetizers like chicken karaage and fried oysters. It can get busy so you may want to call ahead for pickup or to get an estimate on wait times. The staff has been the same for several years and are usually very friendly and efficient.
