This place is amazing! As someone from the south, I judge breakfast/brunch spots on their chicken and waffles, and these were amazing. Crispy chicken, fluffy waffle, perfect over easy eggs (cracked fresh daily), and a surprisingly yummy gravy. We also had the dreamy strawberry French toast and their homemade whipped cream was delicious. Will absolutely be returning when I’m the Encinitas area! Service was great, clean and tidy restaurant, and eco-conscious dinnerware, not to mention how fair the pricing was. They could easily charge more for their amazing dishes, but do what they can to keep prices low. Also got to meet the owner Ed, super friendly guy who immediately gives the impression that he loves his work, and was kind enough to take time to speak with us and share the story of this amazing spot!

Absolutely Fantastic Brunch Spot!

I had such a great meal here. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, perfect for a weekend brunch with family. I ordered the mushroom omelet with crispy breakfast potatoes and toast, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The potatoes were golden and perfectly seasoned, and the omelet was packed with mushrooms and herbs, with just the right amount of cheese.

I also tried their iced coffee, which was rich, smooth, and hit the spot on a warm day. You can tell they care about the little details, from the house-made jam to the fluffy pancakes that my kid loved (he devoured them in minutes).

The presentation was beautiful, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. Service was fast and everyone was super friendly. We also tried the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had, with a perfectly poached egg and tangy hollandaise.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious brunch in a casual setting. Can’t wait to come back!

Let me know if you want it shorter or even more specific!

Nice restaurant serving delicious food, but the waiter we had was not up to par, unfortunately.

When the 3 of us were done with our meal and asked for the check, the waiter came over, saw that I had my credit card in my hand, looked at his wireless point of sale device, and said, “Your bill is $67.86,” without giving me the device. I wanted to compute the tip based on the pretax total, so I replied, “Sure, I’d like to see the bill.”

Instead of handing me the device, the waiter went to the counter and came back with a paper check (shown in the photo below), but the total was only $56.55. In other words, he added a 20% tip on his own and would have got it if I were more trusting.

Shocked, I chose not to confront him and still left a 16% tip, based on the pretax total of $52. That’s just $3 less than what he would have got, but what he really lost was my respect.

Not sure I would come back or recommend this place to anyone else.

A nice clean restaurant with a nice simple menu. The breakfast burrito and the French toast were very good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and parking behind the restaurant.

The service was friendly, albeit slow. Took 20 minutes to have a waiter come after we were seated. Then he didn’t check back until the check. But when he was around, he was nice.

The seating indoors is loud but only because of the staff very loudly talking to each other.

We came in for Sunday Brunch, no wait. Street parking. We ordered the cheddar scrambled bowl, biased ribs Benedict, and burrito. Grapefruit mimosa and Mocha Pistachio latte were delicious. We loved the vibe in here, so cute. We will absolutely be back when we came to Solana beach again.

This place was fantastic. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. The mimosas were tasty with several juice choices, the bloody Mary’s were spiced just right and filled with bacon, pickles, olives and other goodies. The chorizo burrito and the short rib hash were delicious. The menu has uniques choices that definitely did not disappoint. The owner stopped by to chat and the entire experience was enjoyable.

We had the best Fathersday breakfast ever! Without reservation, the friendly stuff did their best to accommodate us, party of 7. The service was excellent and friendly, they being able to customize plates for our kids. The capuccino and Bloody Mary are excellent and the breakfast dishes very tasty. We can recommend short rib scramble, lemon pancakes and French toast. Definitely will be back once coming this way! Thank you!

Was taken here for Fathers Day and I can’t wait until next year.
We were sat in the middle of the patio in perfect weather. Perfectly crowded without being overly chaotic. Atmosphere and the eclectic nature of the patio, especially with the dogs, was very comforting.
The food presentation was all we needed to taste it, and to eat it was a pure mouth-gasm.
A short walk from Amtrak after leaving Fullerton. A great day with family.
We will be back
