The food was the true star of the show. The sausage breakfast burrito was fantastic… you could genuinely taste the quality of the sausage, and every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The chilaquiles were perfectly done… tasty, well-balanced, and rich without being too heavy. The kids’ pancake plate was a hit with the little ones — fluffy, delicious, and generous in portion.
But the real standout? The bread pudding. WOW. It was absolutely AMAZING… rich, perfectly textured, and downright unforgettable. Honestly, it alone is worth the visit.
If you’re looking for a top-tier breakfast spot with incredible food and great vibes, Sunny Hyde Up is a must. We’ll definitely be back!
Update
Went back today and I will say their service and food is consistent. Great food and service. Today i got spicy chicken and waffles and son got the burger.
We ordered the avocado toast, rice bowl hash, with bread pudding. It was an amazing birthday brunch and they celebrate by bringing us a bday surprise.
Great little spot here to celebrate for a bday qoth family and friends.
Loved they brought us pit a small birthday cake with ice cream for the surprise.
Amazing service and staff!
The chicken we added to the salad wasn’t bad. A little dry but still reasonable.
The cinnamon roll was dry as hell. Not worth $20 at all. Potatoes were crispy and not salty!
Mimosa flight was bland. Couldn’t even tell what juices they used.
Server did not check up on us. Even after they dropped the check we gave them time to return to our table for our cards and they didn’t. Went to the front thinking we had to pay there since we didn’t see our server anymore and had to walk back to our table and hunted our server down. Yes, I understand that they are busy but a little communication goes a long way.
Aesthetically pleasing but overrated (again, in my opinion)
The experience was nothing short of delightful. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which were flavorful! Meanwhile, my wife ordered the chilaquiles, which offered a unique twist that left her wondering how did she eat it all.
We complemented our brunch with a flight of mimosas that added a refreshing sparkle to our experience. It truly felt as traveled to a bustling city, yet we were still nestled comfortably in the heart of the Central Valley.
A special mention goes to one of the owners, Sam, who warmly greeted us and made us feel genuinely welcomed. His passion for hospitality shines brightly and reflects the overall ambiance of Sunny Hyde.
We are beyond thrilled to have discovered this gem and can’t wait to return for another delightful brunch adventure. Hats off to the owners of Sunny Hyde for creating such an enticing dining experience!
The atmosphere is amazing—total mid-century vibe with upbeat music that gives the whole place great energy. The music is a little louder than usual, but it actually makes it more fun and family-friendly since you don’t have to worry about kids being too noisy.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Nothing else in town compares. The flavors are off the charts, and everything was perfectly done. They also have a full bar, so you can stop in just for a drink or enjoy one of their craft cocktails or Bloody Marys with brunch.
Service was top-notch from start to finish. This place is definitely going to be a hit. We’ll absolutely be coming back. You must try Sunny Hide Up!
By this time, about five minutes pass, and another gentleman walks in. He asks if we were waiting long and we said yes. Not a minute later someone finally came to get us seated, which even then took a few minutes. The hostess stated that he was trying to help with the party in the back, but he wasn’t serving them. I understand it being busy and helping, but I feel I am just as important as the bigger party.
The table was super tiny for even 3 people to share. Another 2-3 minutes pass, and our waitress finally came to take our drink order (the drinks were the main reason I wanted to try the place other than the food). After taking our drinks, water and 2 cocktails, she leaves again tending to other tables who have already been served or finished their food. Maybe it’s just me, but I would have assumed she would ask if we were ready to order or needed a few more minutes to look at the menu (we were both ready).
By this time more and more people have come into the restaurant and have been seated more quickly than we have. They have also been served their drinks just as quick. She didn’t come back until she came to serve our cocktails, but by then it’s been 15 minutes and I told her we were just going to have our drinks and leave.
The drinks were delicious, I got the hot cocoa and my sister got the eggnog. I am really sad I didn’t get to try their food, but it’s hard for me to enjoy any food if I start off with a bad experience. I will likely not return here and I am very disappointed to say that.
