Absolutely love this diner. Prices were wholly inexpensive, and the general vibe of the place is heavy with a positive nostalgia.

Food was cooked to perfection, wait staff was attentive and helpful. Place was very clean and everyone was friendly! Definitely a spot for friends, family, or last-minute dates.

*** Charges 3% fee if using a card over cash for payment. Service is lower than average, not greeted with a smile, hello, or good morning. Just what can I get you to drink. Never came back to table to ask if everything was okay and offer refill for drink. Food is average at best and didn’t really come out hot. Meh at best!!

I’m so glad I tried this place! The Philly burger was huge and delicious, especially with the melted cheese and mushrooms. The Martin’s local chips were a great addition. Plus, it’s super wallet-friendly. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area!

Came for breakfast with my partner. We were greeted at the counter by the owner. Sat quickly. Our server V was great, super friendly and attentive. We ordered the cheese steak omelette and mushroom Swiss wrap. We were in and out for the kids first day of school celebration. They were adequately busy but the food came out super hot and fresh. Would return for lunch/dinner on a different day!
Heard the owner say it’s been 20 years, that’s pretty amazing!!!

This place is one of the best diners in the mid-state, and for the life of me, I can’t understand why there’s not a line to get in here! Stopped for a quick breakfast and quick is an understatement — had my order in less than five minutes, and it was cooked to perfection. I always order eggs over medium to see how good a diner cook is and rarely do they ever get it right — Sunlight Diner does! The eggs were perfect, home fries were simple but great, and even the toast was the nice thick toast, not the thin sliced stuff that’s tasteless. I should have asked for the Canadian bacon to be left on the grill just a touch longer, but that’s on me for not asking and I’m one of those rare people who prefer Canadian bacon a bit crispy, like it’s American cousin. The wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing — perfect like the eggs. You’ve got to check this place out!

Outstanding food quality at a fair price with fast service. The retro atmosphere adds character, but the space would benefit from some upkeep and care to freshen it up.
