Sunken Harbor Club is an immersive tropical cocktail bar inspired by tales of adventure and the mysteries of the deep. Our first chapter opened on the second floor above Gage & Tollner in Downtown Brooklyn in October 2021, helmed by Chief Cocktail Officer Garret Richard. Our second chapter opened in September 2022, at Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa on the western edge of Bermuda. We don’t take reservations, but we welcome all guests on a first come, first served basis.

An amazing hidden gem. Was recently at a Tiki Bar Speakeasy in Miami (Kaona Lounge) and the staff there sang the praises of Garrett Richard (The head mixologist here at Sunken Harbor Club). I had to come check it out. Sadly my first attempt was during a holiday weekend, and was told that the wait-list was full at 8pm on a Sunday, so I came back and few weeks later and grabbed the last bar seat that evening. The drinks were pure perfection. The vibe is absolutely surreal as you are quickly transformed from NYC to a true sunken harbor. The staff were wonderful, bartenders answered every question I had about different rums with precision and deep knowledge. The playfulness of the crowd interactions when certain drinks are ordered (EL DIABLO!) was always enjoyable. The lounge area looked like a great place for a date night, so I came back once more on Halloween for a wonderful date night. Even arriving 30 minutes after opening, we were told it would be a 90 minute wait, but well worth it. Drinks were again on point and the vibe made for a wonderful night. Can’t wait to come back again (hopefully I’ll be smart enough to make a reservation next time)

Is this the best Tiki bar in New York? I would say yes! There was a line before it opened, so its reputation is known, but it delivers to its lofty expectations. The interior design is a fantastic nautical theme, small place but the feeling is grand. The bartenders are true professionals and is a joy to watch them work. The food is decent, but the cocktail menu is exceptional. The way the alcohol menu is split is clever, from the In The Shallows section which starts with “softer” drinks, to The Twilight Zone where the punch is ramping up, to The Abbys where the dangerous stuff comes up. I had one of each zone, the Batida Dourada which uses cachaca/passion fruit and touch of black pepper. The Comeback Special my favorite drink by far which uses peanut butter washed rye, banana and pineapple in an amazing concoction which I could drink and smell all day. The PKNY is a painkiller variation, and does it work! Strong stuff. If you are into top Tiki drinks, or just great cocktails in general I strongly recommend.

What a FANTASTIC place! Small space but very cool atmosphere, think intimate Tiki bar. Drinks were fantastic, we tried some classics as well as some of their own creations. Had some of the best french fries I had in a while (to help with alcohol absorption). The young woman that guided us through the drink menu and took care of us, Victoria, was an absolute delight. I would recommend Sunken Harbor to my most discerning friends in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to return

It was a great surprise! After the period-setting that is Gage and Tollner downstairs, you are transformed into quite literally the Sunken Harbor Club.
The dedication to the theme was perfect without being too on-the-nose. From the menu categories to the individual restrooms and a very unexpected (into the twilight) show. I won’t give it all away. But think, sights and sounds.
The drinks were very tasty and not to overcomplicated matters but there’s also off-menu options to explore. Our waiter, Tommy, was great! He was so personable, constantly checking on us, and again! he too was dedicated to the theme – ‘welcome aboard!’
From beginning to end, it was an exciting and much enjoyable experience.
**if you have light sensitivities/not a fan of fog machines, do check to see if this will be happening while you’re there. Not sure if it’s timed.

By far the chillest bar I’ve been to! Service was impeccable; honestly the drinks were so strong and a bit of struggle to get through but I’m glad they didn’t rush us or anything. The staff here were nothing but kind, genial, and hospitable.
The comeback special with the peanut butter is also something I would reorder. Really enjoyed the Shrimp toast + Spam Banh Mi as well! I didn’t expect the food to be that great. Fun vibes all around! Definitely revisiting.

This Tiki bar and speakeasy is an absolute gem. Tommy and Andres did a great job and contributed to make the experience feel like a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I celebrated my birthday here without a reservation and also had more people than I accounted for. Basically, I made the hostesses job harder that night, but she was amazing and was able to accommodate us.
The environment is fun and cooky but not overstimulating. The drinks were great and the food was unexpectedly amazing, really really good.
Overall it was a great experience and it made for such a cute birthday.
Shoutout to the hostess again for her patience with me!!

Amazing speakeasy. Nicely hidden but when you get walked in you’re transported to another world. Great theme and the drinks speak for themselves. The staff there are very friendly. Could not recommend this place more.

This tiki bar was recommended to us as a fun night out and we finally checked it out last week. Super fun! It’s small, so even on a weeknight you’ll likely have to wait to get in (or make a reservation?) but it’s super fun once you’re up there. Lots of drink choices, fun crowd, and certain drinks come with “special effects”, I’ll just say.
