Breakfast? Well, we stopped by the cafe. It was nice. I was going for classic breakfast but was curious about loco moco (Japanese dish) Inverted rice bowl of rice topped with a hambuga, gravy ( I requested on the side) and top with an egg. It was surprisingly good.

Omelette was done well and you can tell they used the square pan. Great presentation.

First time customer. 10/10. Stopped in to grab some breakfast before work.

Sunflower Cafe is exactly what I was looking for. A classic American Diner.

The food was great. Prices, fantastic and the service was excellent.

Surumpha was a wonderful waitress. Thank you.

Our first time to Sunflower Cafe today. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is comfortable and clean. Food is good with appropriate serving sizes. I had the hot chicken sandwich with fries. Both very good. Fries were hot and sandwich perfect temp for eating when arrived. Cheesy and sauce was very good. I enjoyed the lunch. I will return.

We have been going here for a year now and are always very happy with your visits.

The staff are so nice and work hard considering how busy they are. I love that they’ve started to remember us.

Everything we’ve had there has been really good. There has never been one item that I thought “I wouldn’t order this again”. I love the hot chicken sandwich and the chicken fried steak. The menu is simple but the food is done very well. You don’t need a 5 page menu when you do the few things really well.

They are open limited hours so on the weekends I’d recommend arriving early or expect to wait a little bit. But it’s worth it.

The service is great, place looks new and clean. Aesthetically pleasing spot. The food, however, is BLAND!!! No seasoning on the eggs, hash browns, nothing. And, with hash browns, you don’t burn them on the outside and leave them mushy on the inside, again, with ZERO flavor. The dessert (key lime pie) was good, but none of the other food was good enough to make us ever return. Use seasoning, folks.

Everything is so flavorful and portions are huge! I was thrilled to find a local, family run business in the neighborhood I grew up in–they add so much charm! I ordered the pancake platter eith Portuguese sausage (which I’d never tried before, but it’s delicious!) The hashbrowns were sooo crispy, and they taste like actual potato instead of grease. I can’t wait to keep coming here in the future!

Good variety of breakfast options. Pancake was decent sized. Vegetarian Sandwich had very healthy toppings. Cooked to perfection and nice presentation. Fries had a good flavor and crispy. Serving time was quick as well. Overall worth the visit if around Fairwood area. Easy parking. No wait time around noon.

I went in to Sunflower for their soft opening and had brunch. It was amazing. I loved their signature drink, their pancakes were hearty and big, whatever magic they put into the potato things, I LOVE IT. Order a few more for the table because your partner will surely try and steal them they are that delicious. The space was bright and open with so much natural light in. The staff was kind and attentive. Since it was the soft opening, they were really gracious with asking for patience and I really valued the honesty. We all have firsts and I am so excited to welcome this new restaurant to the neighborhood! It reminds me of an 80’s family diner. This is the most perfect place for brunch with friends. 100% will be back.

Update…4/24. Enjoyed a huge, fluffy, omelette today with generous amounts of vegetables and cheese. Yum…Really friendly staff greeted us. The food and drip coffee were great. The place is spotless. Worked in food service sales so that is an important aspect to grade how serious theybtake feeding customers. Give this family owned and run/worked restaurant a try!

Food is nothing special and came out so fast I’m sure it was all pre-made and in holding. I haven’t experienced eggshells in poached eggs before, but I unfortunately got to experience it with my eggs benedict. Hashbrowns were soggy and tasteless. The upgraded country potatoes are also a bit soggy and not worth the additional cost. Biscuit for the country benedict was mushy with no external crisp. Service was great, so will give them credit there. Just not a restaurant for us.
