Fantastic view (especially at sunset), some of the best fish, and super nice staff.

My family and I loved this restaurant. We enjoyed an amazing sunset. The food is extremely good. I really had a great time, I would love to repeat the experience.

In short I’d highly recommend trying this place out! In long, the key lime martinin tasted exactly like I was drinking a key lime pie! The fish was freshly caught and cooked so perfectly that it flaked apart when I was picking it up with my fork. And for dessert I just want to say I appreciated the meringue on the key lime pie which was already a star even without it!

Went here for dinner after our Tiki Cruise as it’s right on the docks. Sat outside since we heard so much about the views. Our waitress was super sweet and hardworking. Drinks were ok but not great. We started with cocnut shrimp and weren’t disappointed. Hubby got seafood pasta and I got the fish and chips. He really enjoyed his dish. Mine was very good but a bit oily. Finished it off with the chocolate toffee mousse cake which is every bit as decadent as it sounds. The view of the sunset did not disappoint and I got some amazing shots. If you do go for the sunset, the sun is directly in your face as it goes down so keep that in mind. They do have vegetarian and one or two vegan options. Overall good experience.

Came here for dinner and drinks, and left still thirsty. Great atmosphere, view and food…. Service was not what I would expect for a place like this. Server was very inattentive, had to ask several times for things like drinks, boxes, bill. Would have stayed later and had more drinks but it was too much of a hassle just to get what we ordered.

I had convinced my family to try something new and what disappointment was the experience, server did all possible to make our experience pleasant but even she noticed the bad cocktail( Cadillac Margarita was a disaster), beer wasn’t cool enough, food was badly prepared ( grouper fillet was raw, even the chicken tender were terrible) to end the experience my Catch of the Day was like @catchofthemonth. Really bad for the amazing view .

Watched the sunset and the 4th of July 10pm fireworks on the dock! We ordered non-alcoholic pina coladas and the service is awesome!

I spoke to the manager who was amazing. She assured me this is not how they run their business and that the situation will be addressed. Because of that I am changing my rating and will happily return in the future.

I give it 4 stars for the atmosphere and the food. Beautiful sunsets can be witnessed from this location!!! The cocktails, however, left something to be desired. I ordered a pain killer, which I personally make a damn good one, and it most definitely wasn’t a pain killer and had hardly any alcohol in it for the $13 price tag. My buddy ordered a Mai Tai and it was incorrect as well.

The old Sundowners was a great place, honestly was an awesome spot to catch a great fresh bite and a cold beer. We called ahead to ask if we could reserve a table for 13 but were told no, ok, understood because it’s a weekend. We arrive and are told, of course we take reservations for a party more than 6. Great.. we were sat down around 2:45pm, left at 4:55 as they’re very understaffed however that’s not the consumer’s fault. The table next to us sat down, ordered, ate and left and we were still waiting on our food, that’s unacceptable to me. The piña coladas were so bland, we returned them and they were corrected. My grouper was great but couldn’t eat it as a sandwich because the bread was so soggy it just fell apart. I wish I could say I enjoyed it but honestly didn’t. No tablemats, we used our napkins, no silverware either, had to keep pestering our server for those. Automatic 20% tip added as a thank you for enduring our 2 hr ordeal. We came for the nostalgic memories but left reminded by we haven’t been back in over 10 years.. there are WAY too many great seafood restaurants in the keys to come to this has been..
