Classic underground dive bar. Full of history whether you consider it actual Boulder history or countless legendary college nights out, this place will be sure to add to your night out regardless. Large sprawling single floor layout with plenty of things to keep you entertained. Crowd and vibe vary wildly depending on day/time just like any other bar. Didn’t get a chance to try a menu but bar is fairly priced and what you’d expect. Souvenirs/clothes available as well and the staff is nice enough for a rowdy university spot. Check em out with a group on your next happy hour or for a night cap, good spot regardless

LIBERALS ONLY BAR. I was asked to leave and never come back while quietly reading a book, despite the fact that they have a section called “the library” with books. I politely engage in friendly conversation with people who ask what I am reading and tip well. A girl invited me to her and her friends table and they were inquiring about my political views and I must have said something that I thought was funny espousing a right-libertarian position, but they did not, and half an hour later as I continued reading, I was banned from the bar. They claimed it was not political and that I was simply interfering with their objective of creating an environment where people “have a good time.” Very rude. I have never been kicked out of a bar before.

This reminds me of like a dive bar, but with college students coming from New Mexico to this bar was really cool. I didn’t feel like I was gonna get shot. Lol drinks were a bit expensive but good environment. I went down the street though and got some cheaper drinks and had just as fun.

atmosphere for sure here. Places like this arent built like this. They evolve as things are added and stacked. Great bar tenders and good selection. Great place for a large group to grab beer and shots.

This place allows racist people to man and “protect” the bar. I was kicked out for “swaying” after my first cocktail (five minutes after they served me enough drinks for my whole group). I was wrongfully removed from the establishment for absolutely no good reason. I would avoid this place if possible when visiting boulder!

Every time we come to Boulder we HAVE to stop here! This dive bar is a true time capsule. It feels like you go back to the 80s/90s in an instant. This place is a little worn and grungy but that’s what makes it so awesome! Cheap beer, jukebox, & free pool! What else could you ask for!

Unique dive bar. Free pool tables until 10PM. Cheap PBR pitchers. Basement old school vibe. We went in the afternoon so not at all crowded.

Calvin the bartender is exactly what you expect for a place like this. His great personality is just a huge plus. Beers are cheap, atmosphere is to be expected, and even though I don’t play I should note, pool is free!

I mean this with the utmost respect – solid dive bar / pool hall, with a great selection of whiskey. Prepare to be transported to another time and DON’T put your drink on the pool table.

Pretty cheap drinks, lots of super cheap beer (like PBR). There’s billiards and darts, but it was pretty crowded on a Saturday night so I didn’t end up playing any. There was also only one bartender when I went up to the bar, so I had to wait a bit of time to get my drink. Overall seems like a great place for college students, but wasn’t really my vibe. Probably good place for pregaming on Pearl St.
