I drop in every time I come up to visit my elderly mother, and to see and support Bob (the proprietor). All the products are top tier quality, and I’m more than happy to pay a little extra for that, and to also support a legacy, local, family run business with a unique, non-corporate flair that only comes with decades of community service. This place is a rare gem. If you’re on the Turnpike, and need a break for great food and a taste of Americana, this is your place.

I’ve driven by a bunch and thought it was just a country store but it’s so much more! They serve food and have seating, too. I tried their fresh, hot Italian sandwich and it was delicious. I’m so bummed I’ve waited this long to stop after driving by a million times!

I typically go for the sandwiches and a side of potato/pasta salad and a beverage. It’s always been great. The sandwiches are fantastic. The meatball and BBQ Beef are two I’d recommend but I really don’t think you can go wrong here. My friend and I have been coming up here for a couple years now and we love it. It’s about a 40 minute round trip for me but it’s worth it. Great food, quality food, fairly priced. I definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for a sub-sandwich.
