Great customer service. As a carribean person I dont normally eat soul food but I loved it. Not too salty and the food came out so fresh. I loved the snapper filet and yhe collard greens were the best I’ve ever had! The was good too and I loved the corn muffin. Definitely had to taste the blue velvet cupcake. Really good. It does take a little while so order in advance if you can. Also the food presentation was really good not greasy at all.

Brittany and Shani are hands down the best. They took a mistake I made and somehow turned it into an amazing experience.
Long story short… I placed a DoorDash order online (not through the App) and didn’t realize I selected the Miami location instead of Fort Lauderdale ♀️
I called DoorDash within five minutes, and they basically said they could cancel the order—but I wouldn’t get a refund (make it make sense ).
DoorDash needs better customer service and flexibility when mistakes are made when placing orders.
Just know . . . From this day forward I will NOT be using DoorDash.
Thankfully, Brittany and Shani were incredibly understanding and beyond accommodating. Huge relief
Easy 5 stars, for sure.

✨ First time visiting my former high school classmate’s (Trick Daddy) restaurant. Proud to support a fellow Miami Norland Senior High Viking and glad that they opened this location in the historic Sistrunk district of Fort Lauderdale.
My dad and I visited the establishment on A Sunday afternoon following church. (Closed on Tuesdays For Black people, the Sunday meal is a cherished and significant cultural tradition that goes far beyond simple nourishment. I really appreciate how much Trick gives back to his community.
Here, the Mac n cheese is slammin’!! My daughter ordered wings with a side of Mac n cheese and rice n peas. I just had two side orders – the Mac n cheese and collard greens. Again, I love to support and I understand the rising costs for ingredients but I think the team needs to revisit the value for the customers. May I suggest a value price for customers who want a veggie plate. I paid $16 for one scoop of Mac and one scoop of collards. And $6 for a 16 oz soft drink??? This is not even a fancy drink mix. You are charging customers six dollars for a soda and have it listed on the menu as $4.99. I did mention this to the cashier, but she gave me an attitude for calling it out and because YOUR RESTAURANT did not “update” the prices.
Again, I want to do my best to support black owned businesses, but it’s helpful when establishments respect the customers. Seems like there will be a drive-thru option coming in the near future. Best wishes for success at this new location.

The wait was about 30 minutes. But I expected that. The food tasting the way it did was not expected! Sorry, but the Mac n cheese was dry! The corn muffin was dry and stuck! I ordered turkey wings & good thing I checked the food before pulling off, it was chicken! The guy did bring me back the turkey wings. The food was just not what was expected! Trick, come and do some in-service please!! I will post the pictures!

OMG! I’ve eaten at a lot of place but this right here was 100/10. Upon entering the aroma hits you and you don’t know what to order because the menu looks so good. The line was long but moved quickly. The food smelt so good we decided we couldn’t wait to take it home so we ate it at the restaurant . The food did not disappoint. I ordered Turkey wings, collard greens and peas and rice. When I say I was licking my fingers with those wings. Would definitely recommend. Just note they’re closed on Tuesdays.

Turkey nice portion taste good mac and cheese small portion. Order yellow rice given rice and peas taste good side collard greens $8.00 over priced did not like the taste. 2nd time at this location ordered fried ribs okay taste like pork chops.

food was pretty good, good portion size, and the price was amazing compared to other soul food spots. i ordered catfish dinner with rice&peas and candied yams, my sister got turkey wings with yellow rice & collard greens. the catfish was crispy and huge, full of flavor & did not lack at all! the rice & peas were also flavorful & candied yams were good but needed a little more candy. turkey wings were ok, could’ve been cooked a little less in a broth or something they were a little dry & weren’t ‘fall of the bone’ great. yellow rice was a little bit on the bland side, and collard greens surprised me because they were.. sweet? customer service could use a little work because the cashier was giving hurry up & buy vibes but whatever! the food was good, i recommend!

The food was really good hot and fresh. I got the turkey wings, with yellow rice, and collard greens. I also got a Cornish hen (good, lemon pepper) and a side of Mac (which was perfect). Everything was good and cooked perfectly. The turkey wings could’ve used a bit more seasoning. My husband got fried ribs and Mac and cheese and he said it was great. Overall I will return.

Restaurant was spotless. Staff were nice and patient since it was our first time there. Good 100/10. Babe so good!!! I had the fried ribs, collard greens, Mac n cheese, shrimp rice and fried catfish. Everything was finger licking gooodddttt!

When it comes to my food. I am very much a harsh critic.
I was a little skeptical about eating on Sistrunk. lol haven’t ate at a restaurant on Sistrunk since I was like 15. Anyways…. Flavor was absolute chefs kiss. The catfish was fried to absoluteeeeeee perfection. I mean I absolutely love that it is NOT the cheap thin catfish that most of these seafood places use. No baby this is the thick juicy but seasoned crispy cat fish mmmhhmmm. The rice and beans had flavor as well. The Mac and cheese was superb. I am actually very much impressed. Keep the chef you have in the kitchen cause I will be back again. I suggest placing your order for pick up the line and wait can be crazy. But worth it. I even at the rest of the catfish the next day with some grits I made for breakfast.
The only downside is the parking lot, get rid of the middle piece with that separates the drive thru to parking lot, and try to have it fixed up. I can see how that might hinder the business from getting more money.
