I tried this Indonesian spot in Perth Amboy and the food honestly hits just like back home. The soto is rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned—not watered down or “Americanized.” The broth has that real Indonesian aroma, the chicken is tender, and the egg is cooked spot-on.

The fried bakwan on the side is crispy, flavorful, and exactly the kind of street-food crunch you want. Paired with warm rice and crackers, the whole meal just feels authentic.

If you’re looking for real Indonesian flavor , this place nails it. Rich taste, clean presentation, and zero disappointment. Great food great service, feel like home, Nice

I recently visited this Indonesian restaurant and it truly impressed me with its amazing fried rice with chicken, delectable beef satay, and crispy fried tofu. The food was perfectly seasoned, the fried rice had the perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, with tender chicken pieces and just the right amount of wok hei. The beef satay was tasty, with a rich peanut sauce that had a nice depth from a hint of spice. And the fried tofu? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired with a dipping sauce that added just the right kick.

Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavors transported me straight to the streets of Indonesia. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with friendly staff who made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot with authentic Indonesian flavors and well-executed dishes, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Great authentic Sundanese style Indonesian food! As an Indonesian living in NJ, I’ve always dreamed of the day when I don’t have to make my way to Philly/Queens to get my Indo food fix. Everything was well seasoned and portions were great too! Will definitely bring my friends here and spread the word 🙂 Thank you Ricky for the great service and being so friendly!

The place has unique indonesian style from decoration, the food is soo sundanes. Love the somay, batagor and all the deep fried (gorengan). The only things need to be fix is try make the food more hot so the soup not cold, overall is recommended to check it out if you want experience authentic indonesian food. Or check this vlog on Youtube: Laper Mata

This family-run restaurant is a hidden gem where the grown-up kids are part of the friendly and efficient staff. The place is spotless, well-organized, and perfect for gatherings. We came early for a lunch gathering with friends (a group of 9) and ordered a variety of dishes to share. The wait time for our food was about 20-25 minutes, but everything was worth it—freshly made, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

We enjoyed an array of dishes, including Tahu Isi, Combro, Batagor, Kupat Tahu, Nasi Liwet Komplit, Siomay Bandung, Roti Canai, Mie Bakso Komplit, and Es Campur. Each dish was a delight! The staff were not only accommodating but also warm and welcoming to our kids, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend visiting this place and placing your order in advance to avoid any wait times.

Not so good. The overall experience fell short in many areas. First off, the food almost took an hour after we ordered. I know it’s not fast food but that is too long. Especially when there are only 2-3 tables at the restaurant.

When the food came , the igar bakar was mostly fat. There was some meat but not enough to get full. Also the igar did not come with rice either. We ordered the blue rice with chicken too. This dish is $15 and they only give you one drumstick chicken. Between the fatty igar bakar and the one drumstick chicken , that is terrible value.

I can’t knock the restaurant completely since the food is seasoned well and bathrooms are at least clean. But having to wait one hour for a small portion of food is disappointing. The value is just not there in time or in money.

This restaurant is new so maybe they will improve but they have a lot of work to do.

The best thing about this place is the service,so humble and welcoming. They have a deal where you get an appetizer, main course, and dessert for $24. Here’s what I got:
Appetizer: Cuanki Bandung – Fresh, soft meatballs and tofu. So tasty!
Main Course: Nasi Liwet Komplit – Well marinated, and the veggies taste like my grandma’s cooking (so nostalgic)
Dessert: Halo-Halo & Pisang Cokelat – Halo-halo is not really recommended, but the Pisang Cokelat is really on point(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)!!

I have no issue with the foods or the service, but what was disappointed me they charged 20% tips directly in our bill as a large party (we are only 2 person), beside that we ask to separate the bill for food that we order for to go and the batik (this is not food, it’s cloth!), they don’t separate it properly and still they charged 20% tips for that.

And 1 more, if you see at the bottom of the bill they still put suggested additional tip ‍♀️ like what? You charged 20% tip inside our bill without our concern and still asking for additional tip?

Delicious authentic Indonesian food! I really enjoyed the meatballs in their soup. They have a lot of dessert options as well! Recommend the halo halo. Parking is a little hard to find but the food is worth it.
