I love the food. It’s delicious and looks great. The service is amazing—polite and friendly. I tried it for the first time two weeks ago and will definitely come back.

I’ve been here twice now – once for breakfast, once for dinner – and both times, I was blown away by how authentic the food was down to the level of spice. Even with a smaller menu, Sun2Moon is serving up really good Thai street and regular restaurant food. The egg yolk calamari is a star appetizer, and the glass noodle salad is fantastic. The noodle soups are so hearty and perfect on a cold day or after a night out: try the poor man’s noodle soup and boat noodle soup! So happy I found this spot, this is definitely my go-to Thai spot in Baltimore now!

Remarkable. On New Year’s Day, noticed it was open for pickup and gave it a whirl because pho was on the menu. The pho beef broth had such a depth of flavor, it’s the best I’ve had possibly ever. Definitely the best in this area. The Chicken Congee also had a the perfect amount of salt and lemongrass. Super flavorful for a rice porridge dish. We also got the crab dumplings that were also so delicious. Especially after dipping them in the accompanying black sweet soy sauce. A great addition to Federal Hill. I will be back!

Just finished eating some takeout from Sun2Moon and loved every bite! The spicy shrimp & chicken shumai and poor man soup were delicious. Roti & Lamb Mussamun and Tiramisu for Dessert were both very tasty as well! Will definitely be back soon to try more soon!

A Hidden Thai Gem in Baltimore – A Must-Try!

On a chilly evening, we stumbled upon this cozy Thai restaurant in Baltimore, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The warmth of their Nua Tun noodle soup instantly comforted us, its rich, flavorful broth packed with deep, savory goodness—perfect for warding off the cold.

Our server was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the menu and recommending some of their best dishes. One standout was Kha Moo, a braised pork leg dish that’s hard to find in the U.S. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served with a spicy vinegar sauce that enhanced its flavor beautifully.

My boyfriend ordered Khao Mun Gai (Hainanese Chicken Rice), and it was absolutely perfect. The fragrant, soft rice paired harmoniously with the tender, juicy chicken, especially when dipped in the spicy soy sauce. The accompanying soup added a comforting touch to the meal.

Another highlight was their homemade dumplings with spicy sauce—easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The dumpling skin was soft yet held together perfectly, and unlike many other places, it wasn’t overly salty. Just pure, delicate flavor in every bite.

The spicy glass noodle salad was an absolute hit! I loved how the noodles had a delightful crispiness, offering a unique texture compared to the usual vermicelli noodles. The balance of heat and tangy flavors made every bite exciting—bold, refreshing, and irresistibly delicious!

But the real surprise of the night? Calamari with salted egg sauce. This dish was beyond imagination—the calamari was crispy and fresh, while the creamy, umami-rich salted egg sauce took it to another level. Simply unforgettable!

To top it off, the restaurant had a variety of cute and authentic Thai desserts. I couldn’t resist getting Look Choop, a traditional Thai sweet shaped like miniature fruits. Not only was it adorable, but it was also incredibly delicious!

This restaurant is a true hidden gem, serving authentic, spectacular Thai flavors in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every bite transported me back to Thailand, and I’m so grateful to the team for bringing such an authentic experience to Baltimore.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving real Thai food!

Our party ordered pho chicken, edamame, spring rolls, poor man’s soup, fried chicken and rice, gyao, penung braised beef, crispy fried duck, and calamari. Everyone was happy with their meal. It was all delicious. There was only one woman working. She managed to get our food to the table in a reasonable amount of time.

I wouldn’t eat here again. I decided to check it out since there were so many good reviews. I had the pho and the duck lychee curry. The pho was very bland, no flavor to the broth. For a $20 pho…. probably the worst one I’ve had in a very long time. The curry was decent but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again. I feel like she was reheating the dishes, she was the only one working and I kept hearing the microwave go off. We got our food suspiciously quick.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Ordered the glass noodles and chicken Kao soi. Flavorful and exciting to our palettes! Brought our own bottle of wine as it is BYOB for a perfect date night. Highly recommend! We hope to be back asap!
