Sun Valley café has been a staple in the area for many years. The product and experience are consistent. The menu is not too big and has a variety of different dishes on offer. There are entrees and also lighter food such as salads and sandwiches. The staff are nice and the service is good. The restaurant was also remodeled a few years ago with a more contemporary look. On this visit, I had the meatloaf with fried okra and macaroni and cheese. The food was good but nothing amazing. Overall the experience is good. I will say, like everywhere the menu prices have definitely gone up the past few years, dwindling the value proposition for this restaurant. Despite the increases, Sun valley cafe is still worth checking out.

Food is ok, server was friendly. Ordered breakfast combo, couldn’t sub anything. I ordered soup and couldn’t take it to go so I had to eat it there. I’ve eaten here before to try lunch and both experiences are sub par in prices vs food value quality. There are better places in the area to eat for both lunch and breakfast.

Best hidden restaurant in the Indian Trail and Monroe area. I stopped in for breakfast with a group of friends. There was plenty of seating available. The waitress kept checking on us to see if we needed anything, impeccable service! I had the farmer’s breakfast bowl it was a lot of food. The huge bowl was filled to the rim with scrambled eggs with onions, bell peppers, cheese, and smoked sausage all on top of homefries with a side of toast. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was great, the dining area is clean, and the food portions are a lot. I went back for lunch and ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself will fill you up. Delicious! If you’re hungry, looking for more bang for your bucks, eat at Sun Valley Cafe.

Was looking for a place to go for lunch that was more like a diner. This is the spot!! Busy at 1115 am on a Tuesday was a good indicator for sure! Food was GREAT and very affordable pricing. Patty melt was the best I have had in a very long time. BLT was stacked and perfectly toasted. Onion rings and fries so yummy! Service was great too. Free cup of soup of the day everyday is a nice treat as well! We will definitely be back!! Onion ring pic: basket was full and served with ranch…started eating before the photo was taken. : )

Been here before. Staff is friendly and professional. Facility is clean and spacious. Parking is a giant pain. It’s located in a busy strip mall. Parking spaces not conducive to larger vehicles. They offer free cup of soup which is a nice touch. Note the salad is only iceberg lettuce. I feel adding a few mixed greens would be more nutritious. Ham steak is medium size (just enough for me). Portions are nice size. They offer dessert. It’s a local favorite so it’s worth a try. I’ve had breakfast here and it was very good also.

my family and i came in this week for dinner, food was good what you would expect from a dinner, waitress Kassie was PHENOMENAL. i would suggest requesting her table she was great from the greeting until we were out the door. huge smiles the entire time she was cutting up with us and attentive to our needs, was able to give great menu suggestions. honestly if they could duplicate her, they’d be able to franchise there would be a sun valley cafe in every state

I really wanted to like this place. However, the experience wasn’t great. It started off well. Kind greeting. Good seating. Then, the delays began. Asked for a pie menu 3 times. Didn’t get it until we were ready to leave. Never got a refill or offer of refill on drinks (3 adults). Corned hash was burned. 1 order was wrong. Food was still tasty overall, just not the right food. Really didn’t want to wait for a correction, so we ate and enjoyed our company. Once we got the check, the slip was for another order, and I didn’t want to sign for the wrong check. I enjoyed my gravy, but there were a few too many issues to explain away and caused a less-than experience.

The food was pretty good for the price. Pancakes were a little dense and the coffee leaves a lot to be desired. My husband said the men’s room stall didn’t lock and neither does one of the women’s stalls.
