Gather with some friends for the 1st nice night of the summer. This was 1st time going inside eventhough I’ve been driving by this place for well over 20 years. This place is great for the summer months. I just love the outdoor patio drinking and dining with the band playing in the background. I only went inside once to use the restroom. The staff is top notch when it comes to customer service. Go with the intentions of having a good time and your expectations will be reciprocal. The price is right $$$.

Service was absolutely excellent, and I enjoy the ambience of this place both inside and outside. It’s difficult for me to give them only three stars, but I am taking into account other places that are not particularly far from here. With that in mind, the pizza and the wings here are… ok. I would love to give it a higher rating, it’s just that if people who read my reviews are to make an informed decision, whether approaching this location for food or just a spot to grab a drink, it’s certainly not a terrible choice, I just think there are a lot better local options. Certainly not a bad experience though, and again, the service is excellent and the ambiance is nice.

Sun Tavern has been around a long time! This time I just got apps and drinks while waiting for a wedding reception, but their pizza is great! Outside seating gives you a pretty cozy atmosphere. Inside could use some renovating but it’s an old school family style place. Will definitely return!

Love Sun Tavern and used to go to the one in Union. Once they closed we always hit up the one in Roselle Park. Pizza is tasty and love the broccoli bites!

Food is all very good like any diner. You won’t be amazed, but you’ll have good tasting food. The nachos were very good because each chip has some food on it. Sucks the burgers and sandwiches don’t come with fries though. Would definitely come back again though. Prices were reasonable

First time trying them and I would drive past many times but never tried it until last night . The girl taken order on phone was very polite I was asking for prices she explained it very well and was very sweet knowing it was my first time calling . When I got inside everyone was very friendly very nice I was guided where I needed to go since I was lost lol and they had a very nice Christmas tree decorated ! My kids were looking at it and they gave them candy canes ! Customer service is outstanding never been treated so nice before like they did and the pizza was very yummy every bite ! Now the calamari omg out of this world ! It was sooo delicious! And their sauce was awesome ! I was able to try both the not spicy and the sweet one so good . I def recommend coming in !! They are amazing good service I will be def coming back

I’ve been coming to the Sun tavern for many years, enjoyably so. This was my first visit post pandemic. Let me state that I stopped in for a late lunch in between appointments while working so I was in a bit of a rush which undoubtedly affected my experience. I sat at the bar and got a drink and the menu. It was 15 minutes before I was asked what I wanted to order and that was only after I flagged down the bartender. When my food came out a server brought it to me without a fork or napkins so I was not able to start eating. Another 5 minutes went by before I was able to get those items. At the point when the food came out knowing I was in a rush I also asked for my check which I did not get until I asked again after I was done eating. That took another 5 minutes. As I typically do, appreciating the efforts of the people in the service industry, especially in today’s world where most places are understaffed, I left a generous tip. The bar area and the restaurant was not busy at all. This was around 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I will say that the food was delicious. And this below average experience will not keep me from coming back. I just need to be mindful not to put myself in the same position for it to happen again.

The pizza is delicious. The buffalo chicken and old world with vodka sauce are my go-to. There are other pizzas on the menu I look forward to trying the next time I visit.
