Its a solid place to get some dim sum when in Bellevue. This is an expansion for them from BC. The interior was pretty well designed, giving it that modern appeal. The dim sum options were decent and the quality of the ones we ordered we good.

Comparable to its sibling restaurants in Vancouver & Richmond. The squab was every bit as good as I’ve had in Hong Kong. Thank goodness they provided a QR code to order off the Toast Tab app. Otherwise I’d have sprouted a couple grey hairs waiting on our waiter

We tried this place in Vancouver and we were underwhelmed, but have heard good things about this location. We went today and we were surprised at how good everything was! The restaurant feels very spacious and airy. Service was quick and friendly. Although, each table doesn’t come with condiments, such as soy sauce and chilli sauce. You have to ask for it and it comes in individual servings.

The dim sum dishes came out steaming hot!! The siu mais and shrimp balls were juicy and filled with crisp shrimps! The sticky rice had a surprisingly large amount of meat and scallops inside, which made for filling portions. The pan fried rice noodle had such a nice char, wok flavor to it. The red glutinous rice noodle roll and tripe dishes were just okay. There could’ve been a little more flavor

The waitlist seemed to work well on the Yelp app. I like being able to see the live updates.

The service was quick and fast. We had the option to order with the server or on our phones after scanning their QR code.

The food was hit or miss. Some dishes were very delicious like the chicken feet, the shu mai, and the steamed rolls. Some other dishes were a bit disappointing like the tripes.

The steamed buns with custard looked very different from the pictures on the menu, they were black and gold with a savory custard filling instead of golden in the picture. We expected it to be a sweet dessert. It’s still good, just unexpected.

One thing that disappointed us was the lack of sauces available. We have to order to buy them. Most dim sum places will have the sauces available for free.

Sun Sui Wah is hands down one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants I’ve been to ★★★★★ From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a special dining experience. The food was absolutely incredible—every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Whether it was the dim sum, roast meats, or seafood, everything tasted just as you’d find in a high-end restaurant in Hong Kong. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and traditional techniques to bring out the best in each dish.

Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is stunning. The tall ceilings and elegant décor create a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels upscale without being pretentious, making it perfect for both special occasions and casual family dinners. The service was also excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our servers were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations, which made our meal even more enjoyable.

My family and I loved everything about our experience at Sun Sui Wah, and we will absolutely be coming back. If you’re looking for truly authentic Chinese cuisine in Bellevue, this is the place to go. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Cantonese food or trying it for the first time, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

After moving to the PNW from Honolulu, we were on the hunt for a new go-to dim sum spot that could give us that comforting, familiar feeling of home. Sun Sui Wah Seafood Restaurant in Bellevue absolutely delivered.

The menu is filled with creative dim sum dishes we had never seen or tried back on Oʻahu, and every bite was packed with flavor. We came on a Friday morning (no carts then) and everything was made fresh to order, which made the experience even better.

The service was friendly and impressively fast, and you could tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality dim sum with some unique twists, this place is a gem!

Very authentic Chinese food. We had the live king crab and it was EXCELLENT!! They cook the crab three ways and each dish was cooked well and tasted great.
We had a private dining room on the second floor that seats 8-9 people. It’s nothing like private rooms at restaurants in China, but it serves the purpose for a big family gathering.

Update: Come here last Wednesday 11/20, 80% full and service was very lacking, we had to ask to refreshing our plate multiple times. Foods are good, everyone loves the spicy garlic lobster.

Our family love this restaurant in BC, so glad they are finally have one here, I love their variety of seafood choice and different way of preparing them that like no others restaurants have it here. They have crab promotion the night we visited so we tried the lotus leaf/sticky rice steam crab, everyone loves it so much. We also tried their steam abalone with XO sauce it was delicious. We finished it so quickly and forgot to take picture of the abalone. Other foods here are great too. Great service since it was a week night and about 60% full. They have promotion from Monday to Thursday dinner on special item, we probably will come again to try out on different night. All their servers are great, especially Tony, he was so patient answered all our questions and attending to all our needs; it makes our dinning experience much more enjoyable!

Gave Sun Sui Wah 4 stars. It’s a great spot for authentic Cantonese cuisine, offering a dining experience that is a step up from typical dim sum places in the area.
On the Food: The dim sum is generally high quality, and dishes arrive piping hot and fresh. The Steamed Prawn Dumplings (Har Gow) were plump and juicy, and the Siu Mai (pork and shrimp dumplings) were flavorful. The Pan-Fried Daikon (Turnip) Cake was a standout—one of the best I’ve had, with a great texture and savory flavor. The signature Roasted Squab was also excellent, with crispy skin as expected. My only minor critique is that the Dry Scallop Fried Rice could have used a bit more seasoning.
On the Service & Atmosphere: The interior is spacious, modern, and clean, providing a nice ambiance for a family meal or group gathering. Service was efficient; our dirty plates were cleared away quickly, and the servers were attentive when we needed tea refills. However, it gets extremely busy on weekends, so reservations are a must to avoid a long wait.
Overall: A solid choice for the Eastside if you are craving quality dim sum or a Cantonese dinner. The price point is a little higher, but the quality justifies it for the most part
