I’ve been going to S:UN for the past 5 years, and it’s still one of my favorite spots in town. I first discovered it during COVID through a delivery service, and the food was so good that I just had to visit in person—and I’ve been hooked ever since.
One of my all-time favorites is the Kimchi Ramen. It comes with different spice levels, so you can easily adjust it to your taste. Another must-try is their beef ramen, which has a richer, more flavorful broth and perfectly balanced slices of beef that pair beautifully with the spice.
Their rice dishes are always a treat too, especially since they come with a side of miso soup—such a thoughtful touch that makes the meal feel extra special. And of course, the dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken) is a summer favorite of mine. While ramen is usually my go-to, you can never go wrong with their crispy, flavorful fried chicken.
The staff is always amazing—friendly, attentive, and quick to seat you or take your order. Plus, the food arrives promptly, which makes the whole dining experience even better.

I always on the look for a good Dakgalbi here in Malta but this one didn’t disappoint. Been coming here often now as it tastes like the authentic one. Even the kimchi is sooo good. the chef mentioned that it is all home made even the sauce that they are using. Well done chef!

We had lunch at the Moon/S:un and enjoyed it a lot. First of all: the waiter was extremely friendly and polite. He really took care of us, checked if all was well; a perfect host. Then the food: we went for Kimchi ramen & Tteokbokki and both dishes were fantastic. We asked spicy and spicy it was. Finally the price: the lunch menu included a free drink with the ordered dish and was surprisingly cheap (12€ pp), especially for the quality we had. So for us this is an experience you don’t want to miss if you like Korean food or just want to try it while you’re visiting Malta.

The food is very good and nicely presented without any excessive frills. The cocktails were great and happened to be during happy hour. The portions are very decent and tasted very good. The staff are friendly and we appreciated that one of the chefs came to talk to us. The only negatives are (1) the place is very small and feels a bit cramped, (2) it can get a bit noisy, and (3) no dessert is offered here… Overall I enjoyed the evening and would go back for a casual night out. Booking is highly recommended.

The food is fresh and delicious. There are seating areas both indoors and outdoors. On busy summer evenings, it’s better to make a reservation. Since there are only a few staff members, the service can be a bit slow. However, overall, they are attentive and friendly.

We were told to wait to be seated, we waited for 10 minutes, no one approached us even tho there were available tables inside. We sat outside, served ourselves with menus and the guy approached to ask us if we want to sit inside. We went inside and then waited for 10 minutes to order. It wasn’t crowded. There were a lot of empty tables but waiting time was very long. We finally ordered. I asked if they have rice noodles for the ramen as I’m gluten intolerant. They couldn’t provide an option without gluten. We waited 20 mins for the food and it arrived but only for my boyfriend. After 5 more minutes, they’ve brought my food with an apology. It was waiting on the counter for 10 minutes for someone to serve it so cook brought it to me.
We had our meal and we were waiting for mochis that we have ordered with the food, but there was no one around. We were in a hurry but we waited to get it for ‘to go’ at least. They brought frozen mochis and took it out from the store box in front of us. They don’t make them fresh. If I want a cheap, store mochi, I can have it from the store. We took them but we couldn’t eat them until they defrost. So we were walking around for 15 minutes waiting for it to defrost and when we finally tried them it had an artificial taste. I don’t know how this place has such a good review, cause this was a terrible experience. Other food was ok (3-star food). This restaurant is not worth it.

Despite this, two hours passed without a single dish arriving. When the waiter finally returned to “confirm” the order again, he began listing items we hadn’t even ordered. We had to re-verify our original request for a second time.
When the food finally started coming out, the kitchen timing was nonexistent. First, only 3 of our 6 sushi rolls arrived. This meant half our party sat watching the others eat. Next, the waiter brought out two dishes that we had just told him were not ours. We waited another 15 minutes for two more rolls to arrive. We then had to flag the staff down yet again to find the final missing roll.
By the time we finished, it was past 11:30 PM and we were the only table left in the building. While the female Asian server was polite and provided a plate of gyoza on the house to acknowledge the delay, the male waiter never offered a single apology for the repeated errors. Even the billing process was incorrect. We were charged for two drinks we never ordered, which we had to point out to the staff before they provided the correct total.

I recently visited this amazing Asian restaurant that left me pleasantly surprised. The highlight of the meal was definitely their calamari pizza, something I didn’t even know I needed in my life until I tried it!
