We stopped by SuMu Restaurant right before closing and asked if it was still okay to order. The owner kindly welcomed us and even encouraged us to order whatever we wanted instead of just what was left. She was so warm and gracious throughout our visit.
The food was excellent — flavorful, healthy, and had a real homely touch. We truly felt like we were being fed with love and care. To top it off, she even treated us to a complimentary dessert.
Such kindness and hospitality, paired with delicious food, made the experience unforgettable. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in the area!

One of the best places for authentic South Indian food. We started with the medu vada–idli combo as an appetizer, followed by rava masala dosa and vegetable uttapam for the main course. Everything was absolutely delicious! The chutneys were outstanding—both the tomato and coconut chutneys had the perfect consistency, texture, and spice level. The sambhar was served steaming hot and felt comforting. The filter coffee was a great addition as well. All the food was freshly prepared and served, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

I love that husband and wife are running this as passion .. simplicity & freshness of food is enough to awaken your senses .. if i was a food critic .. this would have been the best place to have a meal.. transport you to old college cafeteria days in India ..

Today’s homemade food was a harmony of South Indian comfort and bold flavors. The fluffy rice paired perfectly with the creamy potato curry and subtly ridge gourd curry, while the tangy tomato dal added a bright counterpoint. The sambar was rich and hearty, and the rasam was delightful. Crispy bitter gourd fry added a welcome crunch and gentle bitterness, and the golden papad rounded out the meal with its satisfying snap. Pure, home‑cooked bliss.
If you’re visiting the nearby BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, make sure to stop by this hotel afterward; you don’t want to miss its authentic, soul‑warming flavors.

A wonderful gem for authentic South Indian flavors!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at SUMU’ Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is simple but charming, with traditional Dhaba style look from outside that adds to the authentic dining experience.
The Masala Dosa was a masterpiece—perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The potato filling was seasoned beautifully, with a perfect balance of spices. It was served with two different chutneys and a delicious sambar that was rich and tangy. Each chutney had its own distinct flavor, and the tomato chutney was my favorite.
My husband ordered the veg Uttapam, and it was equally fantastic. Mango lassi was super yummy and onion pakoda was delicious.
The service was quick and friendly. The owner supervises everything personally to make your experience unforgettable. While talking to him, we came to know it’s his passion, and his wife prepares fresh sambhar every morning, sometimes twice a day. The food arrived quickly. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. We left feeling completely satisfied and happy with our meal. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

You need to absolutely try this cozy south indian place. Food took slightly long to come out but that’s because it’s definitely cooked to order. Nothing was frozen and taste was on point. We got their rave onion dosa, chilli bajji, medu vada idly combo. All hit high marks in my book; tue owner is down to earth and friendly. Don’t expect fancy, but do expect exquisite flavors.
We will be back for more!

Delicious vegetarian dishes, Rava Kichadi was a new dish for us. It is the ultimate comfort food. My kids loved this dish in particular. The flavors of the curries are complex, all the different breads are super fresh. It takes a little time for some of the dishes but well worth the wait.
