This place was great! I’m used to Asaka, and Sumo is as good, maybe better! Portions were generous, food was quick and fast, and of course, delicious! (I love the sumo wrestlers all over the place, E Honda everywhere for all the Street Fighter fans!)

I’m glad I found this place. The atmosphere in this place is a far cry from the typical fast food Japanese places. Nice decoration and unique style are as pleasing to the eye as the heaping plate of delicious food is to the taste buds. I ordered the Yakiniku beef with noodles and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and with a great, homemade tasting sauce. I want to try some other options on the menu but will have a hard time ordering something else next visit! A word about the service, they were top notch and totally on their game. We visited during the Sunday lunch rush, and they were very observant and never let a glass get below half full without topping it off, in spite of the crowd. All this goodness and at nearly a third less than what some similar restaurants charge in the area for a similar meal. Sumo’s has been added to my short list of eating places in the area after only one visit.

First visit here. This is not like a regular Japanese steak house. It’s Oriental food fast and cheap. One man was cook and server when we were there. The menu is limited, but covers the basics. Our food was good and plentiful at low prices. The steak in our dishes was overcooked, or at least tough. But otherwise it was tasty and attractive. Interesting decor, lots of Sumo wrestler art of every kind.

Really good food and huge portions! Everything was hot and fresh. We will be back soon….excellent stir-fried fare! UPDATE- We have been regulars for a few weeks now -food is amazing! Two thumbs way up!

Ok, do not let the modest building, finishes, and surrounding deter you from experiencing a really great meal at Sumo’s. Really great food selection and super great tasting food…every time! Sauces are fantastic! Our family has experienced the great tasting “white sauce” under various names in various cities. Here, they call it “shrimp sauce” and it is a welcome addition to every dish. The staff has always been super friendly. We love Sumo’s!

I’ve been coming here since they opened and it’s usually always great. Food portions are huge and very reasonably priced. This last visit wasn’t as great though, pretty sure they just used spaghetti noodles for their lo mein and the service was a little lacking. But overall I still love this place.

Good food and a LOT of it for a very reasonable price! We will definitely go back! The soup was very tasty, and excellent sweet tea, which is important to my family! The carrots were very good, very sweet and tender. Perfect!
I especially loved the chicken. I ordered habachi steak and chicken. Next time I’ll just get chicken because I liked it better. My husband loved his habachi steak and chicken, and my daughter devoured a large portion of her teriyaki steak and shrimp! The shrimp sauce was well made, didn’t taste like a commercial brand from a bottle. Best of all there was a lot left over that we brought home for a late night snack or lunch tomorrow! I will be recommending this place to all my friends. My only regret was that I forgot my phone so no pics! Next time!
