My first time here after their grand opening. They have a very nice atmosphere and even better sushi!
I had the Tokyo Roll which had fried fish and shrimp tempura, delicious. And the Volcano was a deep fried roll also so so good!

One of the better chicken hibachi meals I have had. Chicken was perfect, rice was very good, veggies were great, proportions were generous. Also ordered a bunch of sushi and it was decent. Overall, the price was really good. The place is set up where you order from the counter and bus you own tables. I hope it is just as good next time I go back

The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The sushi was beautifully prepared, the portions were perfect, and every dish came out tasting even better than it looked. The staff were polite, attentiv. The atmosphere was clean, calm, and truly added to the authenticity of the meal. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy great cuisine — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Sumo Hibachi Grill & Sushi on Victory Drive is a fantastic, no-frills spot for a quick and delicious meal. Located in a strip mall, it’s all about great food without any pretentiousness. Ordering carry-out was super easy, and the staff was friendly and efficient.
We went with the P5 Hibachi Grilled Scallops for our order, and it was absolutely spot-on. The scallops were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, served with generous portions of fried rice and fresh veggies. Everything was still hot and fresh by the time we got home, and the quality was just as good as if we had eaten in the restaurant.

this place was absolutely delectable. it did take a little bit but it was very busy bc of its amazing food. portions are good and have a variety of options for your liking. extremely recommend if you would like good food

I’ve had better sushi and edamame, but unfortunately, this place came close to the bottom of the list. As much as I love edamame, this experience was a major letdown. The edamame was overcooked and mushy, making it a hassle to eat. Every time I bit into a pod, the skin and shell separated, which meant I was constantly pulling bits of them out of my mouth. The sushi wasn’t the visually appealing, vibrant kind I’ve come to expect. On top of that, it lacked flavor. I also had some concerns about the freshness of the sushi rolls. They kept falling apart when I tried to grab one, which made me think they may have been sitting around for a while, or that the ingredients weren’t the freshest. These are dishes I normally enjoy regularly, so this was a pretty big disappointment. While I can’t speak to the dine-in experience, the takeout and delivery were definitely lacking.

Great food! Definitely a good experience! Employees are attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was served quickly along with condiments and a glass of water. Cashier listened carefully to my allergy concerns and assured me they could accommodate me. We will definitely come back!

The hibachi steak, shrimp, and and chicken was top tier. The best Japanese I’ve had since eating at Miyabi’s. I’ve been to pricier Japanese restaurants downtown and the quality is unmatched.
