Chatted with a couple of regulars while waiting, which speaks to the kind of local favorite this place seems to be. It has a fun, laid-back atmosphere with a tropical flair that adds to the experience.
Even though it was busy, the food came out fast, and the young man at the counter was friendly and helpful—especially impressive for a fast-paced dinner rush. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for good seafood in a casual, upbeat setting.
Halibut n chips 4/5 big chunks of fish, extra breaded and deep fried and crunchy fries. Could be more seasoned as the tartar sauce was also not seasoned. Overall good.
Crab cake combo 5/5 delicious crab cake that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Seasoned well, dipping sauce was sweet and spicy and I got the coleslaw as my side. It was light and topped with a vinaigrette.
Calamari 4/5 delicious but small portion.
Clam chowder 3/5 good but had a musty/sour after taste I’m not sure was on purpose for the dish but it’s still very much edible.
Service was decent and restaurant was clean. Ambiance was very blue and what you’d expect from low key seafood restaurant. We had to order a lot of food between two people to feel full.
The food was excellent. I ordered the halibut and chips and my wife got the grilled lobster sandwich with the coconut shrimp. Everything was prepared to perfection, there shrimp was so tender and the halibut flaky with perfect breading.
The atmosphere was everything you could want from a small seafood joint, they have a nice waterfall that lends that seaside vibe. Even with multiple groups of people it didn’t feel crowded or over loud.
The service was the real star! Amy had excellent recommendations and seemed to have a real passion and understanding fur the menu. She was excellent for a couple of first timers. She was attentive and even cleared dishes as we finished so we could continue to enjoy.
Good quality and very nice staff. Everything is very fresh. Fish batter was crispy and fresh, but seemed to need a little more flavor somehow. Coconut shrimp was huge and fresh, but neither tasted Ike coconut nor did it taste shrimp. It was just, cooked meat flavor. Tartar sauce and fry sauce were good.
Fries / chips were very good. Piccadilly fries were absolutely fantastic. Cole slaw is not what you’d expect because it’s cabbage with a dressing of sorts, but good nonetheless. Parmasean toast that came with baked herb halibut was great. Herb halibut was fresh, but not very herb flavored.
The line can get long inside, but if it’s to the door it’s only 10-15 minutes to get to the counter. Food is cooked to order and takes 5-10 minutes to get brought out after you order.
A little pricy for some of menu items, but I don’t know of another place you can get some of these items at a fast food type restaurant.
