Friendly and kind wait staff. Super attentive. Raw menu is awesome. Great assortment of fresh and flavorful oysters. Fried dishes are pretty standard but they’re cooked text book, and the haddock is better than most restaurants in the area. The lobster jasper style is fantastic. Buttery, creamy, and packed with mmm mmm goodness.

Amazing! The haddock was butter creamy mushroom sauce with rice and broccoli was cooked perfect . Was not dry at all. The lobster Linguine was delicious as well with some dry chili flakes for that spicy. Clam chowder was yummy! Oyster was fresh! I love it here and will be back again to try other dish on the menu.

First, this place smells really funny outside the resturaunt as you are walking by, im not going to say what it smelled like as its inappropriate, but let’s just say it didnt smell clean and fresh. Went for dinner (everywhere else was fully booked) but this place had plenty of open seats, shocker i know. Apps were decent, cornbread is good, but the dinner was just gross. The steak was pale grey with a bit of a strange taste, that was ontop of a small handfull of soggy fries (the couple that werent completely soggy were actually good), definitely not worth the $36+ price tag. I will say, the server was good! But you couldn’t pay me to eat here again. Terrible smell, not good food, weird vibe, so I just ordered a Pepe’s pizza while we were waiting for the check cuz i was still hungry….and that was delicious!!

Our first night at Mohegan Sun we wanted seafood. We saw Summer Shack and thought it looked good. We were not disappointed. We started off with the raw bar and ordered oysters. They were local oysters and were so cold and fresh, we throughly enjoyed them. My husband got blackened swordfish and I got the spicy lobster linguine. Everything was delicious. The wine and beer selection was also good. Server was very nice and attentive. We found the price to be within expectation for the quality of food and also being inside a casino. Unfortunately some of the days we were there they didn’t open until later in the afternoon or we would have eaten there again for lunch. Until next time, thank for a first great meal during our stay!

Over all great food and experience. Swordfish was very tasty. Fried chicken was good, however we were informed before riding that it took 30 minutes to prepare. Crab legs were overdone.

Server avoided customers and is most of our time here. The server spent most time yucking it up with other employees. My Bermuda seafood chowder was ok but very salty and lobster linguine was adequate and pasta was too pasty.
But the real disappointment was the service and lack of any attention: plates from the first course left during the entire meal, empty soup bowls never removed and sat there until the main arrived, never a usual “how are things” from the server while we ate. Just neglect. The restaurant was 90% empty and the entire staff seemed checked out.

We had a really nice lunch here today. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. I had a cucumber margarita on the rocks, it was actually pretty strong and really snuck up on me in the end. So I definitely recommend stopping by their bar if you’re looking for a nice tasting drink before hitting the slots.
For apps I had the cherry stone and little neck clams from the raw bar, very fresh and delicious. My father in law had a clam chowder and he said it was really good.
For entrees we ordered Fish and chips, crab cake entree, Fishermans platter, and a fish sandwich. We shared and everyone enjoyed all of the dishes.
Prices were very fair.
There was no wait on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30p, the restaurant has lots of seating and the restrooms were very clean.
Overall a nice experience, would recommend.

Overpriced. The staff was “friendly” felt forced. But that aside the food did not live up to expectations. Everything was salty! Tried explaining that to the server but he didn’t seem to understand. We had for starters crabcakes which was on the menu for $18. We recieved ONE single crabcake and a plate full of vegetables. That was a ripoff.

Went to Summer Shack for lunch while we were at Mohegan. Ordered the clam fritters, for an appetizer, which I love, but they, were a little, saltier than the last time I had them.My cousin and I split the fisherman ‘s platter.Had haddock, shrimp , scallops, french fries and a small portion of Cole slaw on it. Haddock was very good, the shrimp were fried , crunchy.

Good food at a affordable price. The atmosphere is casual and the music was a good mix for everyone. I’ll definitely go back
