The menu is California inspired and focuses on market driven ingredients, local and sustainable farming, and seasonal specialties, all complemented by a carefully curated list of California and Pacific North Coast wines. The Market counter offers a variety of our signature fresh-baked pastries, famous oversized cookies, sourdough English muffins, along with locally sourced coffee and specialty espresso drinks.

All sizzle and no steak! We went there for brunch with friends. The service and ambiance was great but I can’t say the same about the food. Pizzas were a disaster. We tried their classic margherita and spicy giardiniera and they were both too salty, so much so that we could barely eat them. The avocado toast was good and probably the only thing I can recommend from their menu.

Big fan of lettuce entertain you restaurants and this one did not disappoint. It’s a crisp clean vibe inside. The staff were helpful and meet our needs. It was a big group, 13 people. We had the chefs table near the back. Salads were amazing, especially the Brussel sprout. The salmon with mashed potatoes was perfect, just the right size. The pasta was amazing as well. The desert we ended up getting was a mixture of cookies and rice crispy treats. Amazing! @food_from_the_usa

We’ve been going to Summer House for years. It’s our tradition to go there for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. We are used to great service and treating us with champagne. The service has gone down and they keep removing the good food items. We we went with our kids (2 & 6) to celebrate our 12th anniversary and the service was horrible. It took them 10 mins after we were seated to bring us water. Took 5 more mins to get us a high chair. People around us were already eating and drinking by the time we placed our order. Finally when were done it took so long to get our bill and a plastic bag for the boxes. Not going back. We’ll find a new tradition.

Summer house has the right kind of vibe and I love that regardless of the time of the year, it still feels like summer and it makes you forget how cold it is outside in the winter. My friend and I were quickly seated. However, it took our waiter a while to get to us and the waiter wasn’t exactly the friendliest, they did a decent job. I had the breakfast tostadas and it was just okay but I enjoyed and loved my mocktail!!

If you’ve been to Michael’s in Santa Monica, you’ll recognize the vibe of Summer House. The service is excellent, attentive but not overly. The food was mostly great. My sandwich came in toast, that was very well done (the edges were burnt). Everything else was great, from the guacamole to the coconut cream pie, the flavors were fresh and delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
