My reservation was mysteriously cancelled by a third party booking app. So I flew around the globe only to find out I didn’t have a room and the hotel was sold out. The staff wired very quickly and told be they could at least get me a room for two nights. The next day they informed me they could accommodate me for the entirety of my stay. To notch everything! Next level service and attention to detail. You could spend a whole week just exploring everything this hotel has to offer.

The food for a airport restaurant is very good .. the service could be faster at the door .. or the lack of sense of urgency.. we stood for a good 5 min. And the only people in line with plenty of tables ready . Last thing , this is the airport and prices are always higher .

Served RAW salmon! I just had a horrific experience on Aug. 28, 2025 (9:21 pm) trying to get dinner at the Summer House in the Charlotte airport.
First, look at the salmon portion size for a whopping $37! Wow! What a rip off! This can’t be over 4 oz of fish.
What’s really disturbing is that the salmon was served RAW in the middle. This isn’t a sushi joint, and this fish is NOT safe to serve uncooked.
Next, look at the dish: Served on $2 worth of spinach with a greasy side of garlic on sourdough that looks absolutely disgusting.
The Health Department should take a look at this place! The server, Maryann, was nice enough, and she shouldn’t be held responsible for being handed raw food by the kitchen staff; but when I asked her if I could speak to a manager, she refused! She said that the manager wasn’t on site and wouldn’t be back for a while.
This was one of the worse dining experiences that I’ve ever had: Overpriced … unsafe/raw/disgusting food … and no manager to even speak with about it. Maryann still charged me for the beer that I ordered. When fail as miserably as this, COMP THE CHECK on an overpriced $13 20oz glass of beer!
I recommend avoiding this place, and I will contact the Health Department about what happened. That manager can avoid me, but they won’t be avoiding the Health Department inspector.
UPDATE (9/9/25): The Mecklenburg County Health Department inspected the restaurant this morning, and they sent me a copy of their report. Several small problems were discovered, including contact surfaces/utensils not cleaned properly, food not maintained at the correct hot/cold temperatures, unlabeled/undated food storage containers, and one cook not using a thermometer for cooking meats. One potentially serious item was that rodent droppings were found in the kitchen. Management wrote in a response that they would retrain their staff and seek to improve. Let’s hope so! Thank you to the Mecklenburg County Health Department and their inspectors for doing such an amazing job protecting the public. They’re saving lives! I really appreciate how seriously and how quickly they responded to my report.

Don’t know who this guy is, but he rocks! Summer House is a restaurant/bar but I didn’t have the time so I went to their “grab and go” next door called The Market. He didn’t have a name tag but later I asked and another server said it might be D. He was really nice and I wanted to leave him a tip for his good service. They were only accepting cards and their system doesn’t allow adding tips to your purchase. I asked for change four a 20 but he couldn’t do it. I apologized and told him I wanted to leave a tip and he was very nice in telling me that it was understandable.
I took my breakfast sandwich to a seat and ate it, it was delicious. Such a good English muffin and the ham was incredible. In my mind I pictured thin slices of deli ham, this stuff was legit.
After such a good experience, I bought a bottle of water at a store and took some cash back to leave in their jar.
My only complaint is that I was told it would be ten minutes but it took 23 minutes to get my sandwich.

They have a decent selection of food, and it’s served quickly. There was an issue with the sale system throughout the airport, so many restaurants were closed. We were able to get served and pay through our remote wallet. Our tater tots were very good, but my cheese omelet tasted greasy. Our server was great and checked beck with us frequently.

The atmosphere drew me here! I had the spicey rigatoni ala vodka and it is FABULOUS!!! To top it off, April working the bar was phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly and made sure her customers were taken care of. I will be returning ❤️

Stopped in the Summer House Restaurant for a quick bite to eat as I was passing through the Charlotte Airport. I just missed breakfast by a couple minutes. They do a hard stop around 10am , but they still have an egg sandwich on the menu for those who still need the breakfast taste.
The service was great. My server was very nice, happy and offering many things that were on the menu as added items.
This place was quick and easy and I was able to get in and out and off to my next flight within 30 mins. Food is good and might stop in on my next pass through Charlotte.

I stopped in for a late lunch around 1400hrs on a Friday. Service was good and quick. I ordered the chips and salsa with the grilled chicken tacos . I think the food was good, but I didn’t care for the salsa. Not really a complaint, but just not my style because it was very brown and smokey tasting. I’m more of a fresh red flavor with lime and cilantro. Prices are fine for an airport full service restaurant.

Fast and delicious! The meatballs were enormous, and the rigatoni with vodka sauce was banging! Kitchen crew worked well together and seemed to be kicking ass with smiles and laughter. Unexpected surprise with the red pepper flakes. Delicious! The Bartendress was quick, friendly and efficient. Loved the Keep Your Gin Up! * Was too hungry to take a “before” pic. I’ll be back next time!

Waitress was incredibly nice and sweet which made our experience good. We enjoyed our drinks and the tator tots are awesome. Good vibes in general and I would easily eat here again. Service was very fast for everything even though we stood waiting for a bit.
