the quality of the food itself was amazing. it is very authentic cuisine as we had guests from UK attest to it. the chicken was really well juicy and the steak was so tender and well seasoned. for a pax of 9 however, the portions are really small and if you have the typical singapore appetite, i would suggest ordering more because the sides are basically a female’s hand size.
the potato pave was a really good hit among everyone and the apple tart was also super good!
i would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t mind small portions but quality food.
Here’s what we indulged in:
Salade Piémontaise – A comforting potato salad with eggs, cornichons, ham, tomatoes & aioli.
Tourain – Hearty tomato soup topped with duck confit and duck fat croutons.
Farcous – Crispy herb and leafy green fritters, simple yet addictive.
Piperade – Stewed red peppers, onions & eggs — perfect with warm bread.
Halibut Grenobloise – Fresh halibut cooked to perfection with lemon & brown butter.
Calamars à la Basquaise – Squid braised in tomato, red peppers & white wine.
Coustelou – Tender, flavourful grilled pork spare ribs.
Poule au Riz – Fragrant rice with poached chicken and velouté sauce.
Fine Beans Montpellier
Daube en Provençale – Rich beef stew with olives, dried orange & red wine.
Savarin – Syrup-soaked yeasted cake with chantilly & fruits.
Lou Pisadou – Chestnut and almond cream tart.
Fun touch: there’s even a DIY ice bowl station at the bar counter — such a cute interactive detail!

A brunch experience that truly feeds both the stomach and the soul.
1) Recommend you to order main course per pax as the portions are small.
2) Didn’t expect the salad to be so small, palm size.
3) Potato was ok, not the best around.
4) Salmon is good.
5) Fried chicken tasted ordinary (I prefer jollibee though) with disappointing 5 sides, which can be seen in photo like some ‘cai peng’ put together.
6) Steak was ok, the wine sauce on saltier side.
Thought service and ambience is good, but for the food I won’t recommend to visit.
The Le Tour de France brunch trolley concept is an interesting, communal, flavour-packed experience where you can sample a range of comforting, thoughtful French-inspired dishes delivered to the table, with plenty of variety and room for seconds. Some dishes are served singly, some to be shared. You go one round of everything that they serve, giving you a slow, social, tasting-menu feel, and then re-order whatever favourites that you fancy afterwards.
For starters, we were served Fresh bread with poached eggs in red wine. Then we had a small dish with light bites of ham, brie & terrine. Lastly, came the garlic, onion & tomato soup with duck confit & duck fat croutons. Quite a lot to savour.
For mains, we were served Halibut fillet with butter, grilled pork ribs, beef stew with mashed potatoes, french styled poached chicken & chicken rice, braised squid in tomato, red pepper & white wine. Lastly, we had a dish of greens-garlic flavoured french beans.
For dessert, you can help yourself at the ‘snow cone bar’-a DIY shaved ice treat with various syrups and toppings. You can skip this if you’re the health conscious type. Finally, the servers will bring to the table the restaurant’s signature chocolate log cake-very rich & sinful. We finished off brunch with a cup of cappuccino each.
My take is this – Summerhill provides a calm, unhurried dining experience, made more appealing by its wide variety of offerings. With efficient & friendly service staff, Summerhill is a good choice for brunch.
The food was super filling and really delicious, and everything was so thoughtfully done. Overall, it was a wonderful, memorable evening and such a hidden gem. We truly enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely come back again! Kudos to the team!
Bread was good. French beans had the raw taste.
Wagyu beef was good but a tad pricey at 28 for 100g.
The pear and elderflower soda was good. Cherry lavender one tested abit like cough syrup.
Took more than 30 mins for food to arrive, and no comms from staff about delay until we asked. They could’ve served the bread and sides first so we didn’t have to wait in hunger.
Asked for the bill and took ten mins. She didn’t bring the charge machine so waited again, and in the end, saw her in the kitchen so decided to walk to cashier myself. Staff need to be more attentive.
Downsides are that the food wasn’t really exceptional. Sure it was nice and tasty, but I didn’t really get any standouts that made me really want to come back for a second bite. Price point was a little above average and slightly expensive for a meal of this nature.
