Reviews
✅ sockets (2 prong only)
✅ free wifi. Mobile signal (Globe) is weak in this area.
✅ clean and spacious restroom
✅ indoor and al fresco dining available
✅ limited tables, it’s a small space
✅ delish decent ramen. We only had the gyoza and ramen. The chashu was very soft (not chewy/makunat) and tasty.
✅ Only payment options at the time are cash and gcash/maya
Will try more menu items when we have time to go back.
Food: 7/10 Was a bit okay, i enjoyed the karaage and curry sauce. But the hakata had this burnt flavor. I think it’s because of the blowtorched chasu..
Service: -10/10 super awful. The server didn’t bother to welcome us or possibly explain the items on the menu. My god, we felt he was so bored with his job. I would appreciate it if they could’ve placed a sign board that says “self service” Coz the customers pretty much did some of the service like getting the glass, asking for table napkins or even getting the drinks from the bar top (other customer).
Atmosphere: 6/10 the look and feel of the cafe was okay. Minimalistic and somewhat modern design to it. Our only gripe is possibly the owner or the manager, who was just sitting around and orderinh food from the staff. Tho i get it, that she doesnt need to do anything as she owns or manages the place. But it would’ve been a plus if she interacted with the customers or asked if they enjoyed the food.
Overall the experience could’ve been better if the service was ok and staff was attentive.
Initial impressions were the temperature was too uncomfortable for a dinner. Their 2 AC’s were not able to cool the restaurant enough.
Menu’s are available on each table but you need to stand in line to order at the counter which doesn’t make sense. They should have put the menu on the counter instead.
Also, the staff are not even welcoming customers coming in, it’s like “bahala na kayo maghanap ng ma-u-upuan”. Even when ordering, they don’t tell customers to order at the counter. You need to figure out that by yourself.
In contrast, the food was affordable and good. Serving time was also fast considering 5 tables were occupied. Compared to other affordable Japanese resto near (like one at the Gillage). Sumio is far more superior.
Overall, bang for your buck Japanese resto. I hope they will improve their service and fix the AC. Also, please add Gcash as option. Might return here to try the drinks. Cheers!
Food: Broth tastes okay. Serving is SO SMALL but very expensive. Noodles used ay hindi pang ramen. Hilaw pa ang pagkaluto.
Price: 0/10. NOT WORTH IT. Ang half bowl ay one cup of water at kapiranggot na karne, and this is 200 pesos???!!!
WORST RAMEN PLACE EVER.
