We had an overall great experience here. We came to celebrate a birthday and were pleasantly surprised with complimentary champagne, which was such a nice touch. The food was great, and while one item was initially forgotten, the staff caught it quickly, brought it out right away, and removed it from our bill—excellent service recovery. Don’t sleep on the green bean drink… it sounds unexpected, but you’ll be very pleasantly surprised!

Best dim sum I’ve ever had!! Everything came out hot and fresh. Flavors were perfectly on point and drinks were fantastic. The owner actually came to our table to make sure everything was up to par. I will definitely be coming back!!

This was outstanding – was craving food like we get in Taiwan and this hit the spot. We polished everything off. Forgot to get pics of some of it. Had the shrimp and pork dumplings, the pork dumplings, the crab Rangoon, the cucumbers, the green beans, the sesame balls and the egg tart. If we lived here we would become regulars. Thank you so much for this food.

We had such a great time at Sum Bar for Valentine’s Day! Our first time there and we will absolutely be back. The drinks/food/service was all on point. The tempura lobster was absolutely amazing and I’m not usually a lobster fan!

We had a great experience overall at Sum Bar in Greenville. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and creativity of the dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and stylish — perfect for a night out.
The only downside was the service, which was slower than expected. Our server was very friendly and apologetic, but it seemed like she had too many tables to handle. We ran out of water and drinks a few times and had a bit of a wait to settle our bill. Despite that, she did her best to stay upbeat and attentive when she could.
I’d definitely go back for the food and ambiance — just hoping for a better staffed night next time!

Excellent experience all the way around! Great bar tenders, delicious food, and swanky relaxed environment. My new favorite restaurant in downtown. Everything we tried was beautifully presented with unique flavors and textures. It was a truly an outstanding experience, a real standout in Gvl. Highly recommend!

Took my wife here on a Saturday night and we both really enjoyed ourselves! The bartender is very lively and clever with his creations – both of us really enjoyed our drinks! Then the food – wow, the food was awesome! It’s not traditional meals, but rather everything is designed in a way that it could be shared; and not only was the food delicious, but they also managed to time everything perfectly so that the next dish was coming to our table right as we finished the last one. And it’s very clear that the owner is incredibly passionate about and dedicated to her restaurant! All in all, it was a lovely experience that will certainly bring us back again. If you’re reading this wondering if it’s worth trying – yes. Yes it is – just make sure you get both the shumai and the crab rangoon (you won’t regret it)!

I was downtown and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant. I was absolutely amazed at the atmosphere and decor inside, after chatting with the very kind staff at the bar they recommended me the steamy veggie dumplings, sui mai, and the pork belly rice. If you want a good atmosphere, bar tenders that know what to serve, and most of all amazing food this is a place for you.

From start to finish, everything was fantastic. The Crab Rangoon (dip style) was a fun and flavorful twist on a classic—definitely a highlight. The Orange Blossom cocktail paired perfectly with the sesame balls, a combo we didn’t know we needed!
Another standout was the Pom de Replay with Pork Belly Rice Ball—absolutely delicious and something I’ll be ordering again without question.
The vibe of the restaurant was spot on. The decor added a stylish, welcoming touch, and the music tied it all together, creating a really enjoyable atmosphere.
