Located in the heart of El Cajon, Sultan is vibrant with Turkish design and filled with an amazing selection of foods! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who recommended I try the Turkish coffee (extra strong and how I like it), the pistachio latte, and cappuccino for my mom. The pistachio latte is unique and cannot be replicated. It has a toasted nutty profile and really puts Starbucks to shame 12/10 recommend! For breakfast, I got to try the Turkish version of eggs and sausage served with pita bread and a chicken salad for my mom with plenty of food left over. For dessert I went next door to try some Turkish delicacies also part of the same establishment and had the baklava cheesecake which was so unique – crunchy earth flavor from the baklava flakes with a soft tangy cream was to die for. I also tried the berry pudding that was lightly sweetened and filled with fresh fruits. I’ll definitely make another trip back soon!

Such a charming Mediterranean restaurant! From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly greeted by the beautiful decor that lovingly paid tribute to the restaurant’s Turkish roots.

I ate the Beyti Kebab, and it was very delicious. Sultan Restaurant easily has the best Mediterranean cuisine in San Diego. It is well priced and has excellent service. The restaurant is very clean, and I am 100% sure you’ll have a great experience from such an amazing restaurant.

I ate the Adana Kebab, and it was immaculate. Not only did I enjoy the food, I also enjoyed the welcoming ambiance of the restaurant. I would recommend you dine in at Sultan Restaurant since taste, good pricing, and cleanliness all meet in harmony at such a wonderful restaurant.

The food was good. However, I believe they only clean tables upon request. Also, the customer service is just something else I was waiting for the employee to ask him where the washroom was and he kept looking at me every few seconds and get back to washing the dishes.

The BEST middle eastern style breakfast I have had in San Diego! Right on Main Street, the restaurant also has a cafe with amazing coffee and desserts. The customer service and the quality of food was exceptional. I would come here again and again. 10/10 would recommend!

i don’t like leaving bad reviews but the prices don’t match the food and service here. they have one guy running around doing everything including being a cashier… they charge around $20 for ONE kebab in the plate… LOL. there are so many other details i can point out but i’ll summarize it: this place is cheap with everything EXCEPT the price.. and in that same street you can go to Mal Al Sham or Ali Baba for a better value & quality although they’re not Turkish they’re years ahead of this place in quality taste & service. sorry 🙁 i was left with a bad impression i will not be coming back unless it’s by force lol

I was excited to try this place but was unfortunately very disappointed as I got into the restaurant, I noticed a few flies inside the front display. This should not be a norm at a restaurant that is unreasonably priced. I am not the one to leave a bad review but they need to get rid of their flies.

Delicious breakfast. However, selection is limited to about 10 items and overpriced. Breakfast for 4 cost us $200.
