The ambiance is enjoyable, though it could use a bit of organization. My table felt sticky, leading me to question the cleanliness. However, the service was outstanding, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I can only comment on the sushi from the menu. It had its highs and lows; the fish was incredibly fresh, but the balance between the rice and fish was off. There was an abundance of rice, while the fish itself was quite thin, which left me feeling a bit disappointed. The menu offers a variety of other dishes, so those might be worth exploring. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I would describe it as fairly average.

My friends and I came to visit Helena for the first time. And we had the best experience ever! The host greet us very nicely and we were sat really quick, then our server Sophia was really nice and kind from beginning to end!
We order the Japanese fried rice, some sushi rolls, dessert and some additional stuff!
Everything was magnificent, they really put a big effort in every single thing they do! We all are amazed by the quality of the food and how affordable it is!
We can’t thank you enough for such an incredible experience THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed the tempura udon soup. I have often eaten soups where the flavor is lacking. Not here! The savory quality is top notch with vegetables precisely cooked to be done, yet crisp.
My co-worker stated that the Pad Thai was hp with the best he had is quite a long time.
While the atmosphere was not highly stylized, it avoids the overdone exaggerated look making it appreciated. The staff is friendly and prompt.
Returned for Beef fried rice, same quality as previous visit.

My favorite sushi shop in town! Their portions are great and the rolls are as described. The fish tastes fresh and I also enjoy their selections of beer and sake. Highly recommend checking Suki out, if you are coming in on a weekend, leave a little extra time for seating as they tend to be busier then. 10/10

We were in town for the Helena Comedy Festival and we had an amazing dinner at Suki Cafe! My husband had the pad Thai, which he loved and I had the Drunken Noodles which were covered in the most delicious and perfectly spicy fresh Thai basil! The service was wonderful, our server was so attentive and kind… and made sure we had plenty of time to make it to our show. The manager checked in on us and was really hospitable; just putting a perfect bow on our evening! Highly recommend giving this spot a try next time you’re in Helena; I know we will!

Yum. Yum. After a visit to Montana State Capitol, we headed to Suki Cafe. Being from NorCal, we weren’t sure how to gauge our expectations of Sushi in Montana. We were greeted by friendly wait staff. Particularly Sophia, a wonderful Montanan person. I have given this honest review based on the congeniality of the staff.
As to the sushi, I was thinking about the following:
Ratio of Sushi to rice: around 33 percent or less.
The white tuna was 20 percent. The unagi was 30 percent +/-.
Generous tuna roll: 45 percent.
Rice could’ve been a little more moist, but all was good when our Sophia recommended some great Montanan beer. The manager was cool. Even though he’s from SoCal. I lived there a long time before I ended up in NorCal.
Go to this place. It’s a great place to go before or after your visit to this states beautiful Capitol.

I really was hoping that this place would be good. It’s okay, not great. The sashimi plate had imitation crab which was the most bizarre thing I’ve had. The sashimi wasn’t the best quality either which made feel weird about the rolls. The rolls were good but it is pricey. 2 of us spent 80 which seems very excessive for montana prices.
The staff was nice, they are hiring and seemed super busy. They were very kind though.

The number of 5 star reviews makes me concerned for peoples tastebuds. I have survived food poisoning, airport sandwiches, and a gas station egg salad that winked at me- but nothing prepared for the psychological culinary experience that was this Sushi/Thai restaurant.
Let’s begin with the “fresh” rolls. Fresh, of course, being used here in the same way one might describe drywall as “light and airy.” The rice paper was approximately a quarter-inch thick- a structural marvel, really. I briefly considered refinancing my home and moving into it. Chewing through it required the jaw strength of a crocodile and the emotional resilience of someone processing betrayal. By bite three, I wasn’t eating a roll, I was negotiating with it.
But wait, our fearless waitress, with the confidence of someone who has never tasted anything she recommends, insisted we try a special sushi roll. This rolled was absolutely baptized – no, waterboarded- in what can only be described as a full cup of hot, fish-flavored mayonnaise. Not drizzle. Not artfully sauced. Drowned. It looked less like dinner and more like it had lost a fight with a condiment factory explosion. The heat activated an aroma that made my soul leave my body and hover briefly near the ceiling.
Then came the drunken beef fried rice. I assume it was called “drunken” because that’s the only state in which you could possibly enjoy it. The beef tasted … experienced. Seasoned not with nuance, but with what appeared to be an entire lawn’s worth of oregano. I never met a Thai dish that tasted like it raided an Italian grandmother’s spice cabinet during a power outage. It was as if someone whispered “fusion cuisine” and then immediately gave up.
And the thing is- it was so awful it became hilarious. I couldn’t even be mad. You can’t rage at a performance this bold. This was culinary chaos theory. Edible satire. If I could have induced vomiting , I might have, but the sheer terror of having to taste it again on the return journey kept it firmly in place. Some experiences change you. Some meals haunt you. This one does both.
Zero stars. Five for comedy.
